Tonight of all nights...Film Fest...my Xact Stream Jockey...so far flawless and bought on Jan 4 goes wacko...shuts itself off and on and off and on about 25 times then goes off for good. I checked the usual suspects...connections, power source, timer, etc. Any ideas?

Same thing happened to me with my Starmate Replay. I called Sirius told them what was up, all i have to do is send it back to them and they are sending me a new one.

It will be ok, i managed to get mine to work after playing with it for a bit. I bought a new Starmate cause the guy hooked me up with a great deal. Once the new one came in the mail i shipped the broken one out so i am good to go now. :D

I got it up to about 25 minutes now without it shutting off. Maybe it's just some electrical jizz that's stuck. I wouldn't be surprised if something electrical inside or outside the house is causing it. I restored the original factory settings just in case.

My problem ended up being the power cord that connected to the Starmate. All i had to do was play with it a bit to get it to work. Now driving with it was a different story.

I just shipped my starmate replay back to Sirius in Florida, it wont stay on, I think it is from the constant unplugging from car to home, car to home, etc that ruins the flimsey hardware inside the 12V DC input.

Oh and lucky for me my buddy is going on vacation tomorrow and he is letting me use his Starmate Replay all week! I love the fact that this thing is so portable.

Flimsy is right, not just in radio hardware but in just about everything manufactured in the last two decades. Everything is fucking disposable...especially your money.

My radio goes back to Georgia tomorrow and they say it will be at least 10 working days. I know that means 30.
