My subscription to Sirius lapsed and I woke up this morning to no Sirius. Nightmare time. I just forgot to make the payment.

I tried to login to my account online and I wasn't able to. I had to call in and talk to a customer service rep, I hate when I have to do that.

The rep was efficient, but I would much rather had been able to reactivate my account online.

Can't you set it up for automatic recurring payment? I think all you need to give them is a credit/debit card number or a bank routing number.

Either way today was a really good day to wake up to no Sirius, since they had no live content on this morning.

The recurring thing sucks, I like to have control.....

Dude come on....it is only $13. Even I can afford that on recurring debit. I don't do it with anything else but howard.

I do three months at a shot and I go online and do it. My money, my choices.

Fuck. Recurring debit is the only way to go. If I didn't do it for just about everything then nothing would ever get paid. I don't open mail.

Yep, you seem to have everthing under control. Forget to renew, can't log in. Total control. Just Teasing! :)

Got stung by that once. The bill collector changed their address and sent out several letters about it and my wife never opened one of them. It was a bad situation.

Gezz I have tried to have them not rebill a couple of my accounts and even after telling me they wouldn't they did. My primary account was linked with a CC that expired and they let me go 3 mths without shutting me off. I called about another issue and they told me I had a balance due.

I signed up online with my debit card for a year. When the year is up will it automatically bill my card again?

I don't remember it asking me anything about recurring payments.
powerman Steve
when you log on your account they dont tell when your subscription is about to run out. Just tell when you started it. I just payed lifetime plan. Hope that run out :fall:

Are you Riley Martin in disguise? You don't want to pay too much ahead because the aliens could take you to Saturn at anytime, right?

Whatta quack.

Were you unable to login because the account lapsed, or for other reasons?

If you don't want to do recurring charge, then it's your own fault. Not trying to put you down, but you did bring it on yourself.

I like the yearly option, just sayin'.

That's weird. Are you sure they didn't call you to remind you to make a payment? When I first subscribed I thought money would automatically be taken from my account every month, but that's not the case. A few days ago Sirius called me and told me I had to make a payment to avoid interruption. I went online and paid it the next day.

Maybe you missed the call?

Also, consider the fact that if you login to Sirius.com, you can get to the streams. If you owed money, it's understandable that they'd prevent you from logging in until you make a payment.

if you pre-pay for a longer term subscription they give you a free month. you should consider that.

What about recurring payment using a credit card? I'm bad about payment deadlines and for $12.95 a month, I don't mind. I won't do this with cable or TV though. Too expensive.

I hear ya about the debit card--one wrong punch wiped out my entire bank account--and I've learned to do without it.

that was funny! :2thumbs:

I do the recurring monthly plan - my biggest problem is remember to subtract $12.95 from my checking account on the 25th of each month. Good thing I keep more than that in the account LOL

I question the lifetime plan. Is it true that your subscription is only good on the radio you register with, and if something happens to that radio, or you buy a new one, you lose your lifetime subscription and have to start a new one?

I wish I was able to do the $500 for life - I just got Sirius about a month ago, signed up for a year, you get a free month per yr you sign up for -
I just wish Sirius had baseball. I can get the Yankees on testicle radio for afternoon games, at night I just watch'em on tv. Would be nice to get them on satellite though.
