Did anyone else see Tony flip?
He was drafting with Truex and got hung out. He tried to get to the bottom, But clipped Kenny Wallace.
Did a great flip and landed on his roof.
He's OK. They talked to him and he took full blame for the wreck.
If you missed the Busch you be able to see the tape on Speed Channel. ESPN may even show it. |

Just saw the flip by Smoke, I have seen worse but you always hate seeing these cars get up in the air like that. At least he walked away unhurt.
I believe a Hendrick car will walk away with the win on Sunday afternoon but the DEI cars will be tough especially on the weekend of Dale Earnhardt's 55th birthday. |

Dale qualified 27th but like his old man never count him out on the big tracks. They used to say his Dad could see the draft. He told Jr. what that meant. |

Tony should be strong tomorrow. Hamlin was fast in final practice and they run similar set ups from Gibbs. Tony wasn't that fast in either practice (22nd and 26th on the charts), but outside front row should help.
Theh problem with Talledega is the "big one". You always see the big wreck, so you don't want to be back in the pack. That is the only reason I don't like Junior for tomorrow (starting 27th). If the wreck happens early, he may be in the air. But that black car is sweet looking.
Jeff Gordon is always tough here. Looks like the Roush cars may be touch as well, but Chevy has been tough in Alabama over the last couple of years.
I'll be pulling for Smoke to keep up his early season sucess. |
