| Everything he said was absolutley true. And it wasn't a shoot or they wouldn't have let him said it. But it was awesome, the only thing wrong with that was nothing will change in WWE after that speech and everything will stay crazy with the likes of Jon Cena and Eugene and things. |

| If it was a real shoot, we'd be seeing that picture of Triple H saying "We are experiencing technical difficulties." Needless to say that was a great promo. I have lost interest in the WWE as of late. I've always been a dedicated ECW mark, and after the great One Night Stand PPV last year I've been dying to see it come back. I know there will be a new ECW this fall but I only hope it doesn't go the way of the inVasion angle back in 2001 did, being nothing more than a McMahon family feud. |

| total work... new WWEECW promotion starts up with 2nd one night stand ppv... House show at the old ECW Arena on June 24th... Sabu, Sandman, Dreamer all signed 3 year deals wwe option at the end of each year (so really just 1 year deal). Others reported to have been offered contracts have been CW Anderson, Danny Doring, Roadkill (already in OVW), Chris Chetti, Swinger, Axl rotten, Balls Mahoney... |

They haven't had any good hardcore matches since the TLC days (Edge-Christian/Dudleys/Hardy Boyz.) To have a true ECW event done right would be beneficial not only to WWE, but also to the fans who feel alienated. Don't do what occurred at inVasion back in 2001. Last year's One Night Stand, anti-ECW crusaders angle notwithstanding, was a perfect example of how to do an ECW show. How could anyone forget the Masato Tanaka/Mike Awesome (no pun intended) match. Very seldom do you hear a crowd chant out "THIS MATCH RULES!" but that was without a doubt a match that deserved that chant.
Then again, how many promoters/bookers/owners have fans chanting their appreciation for them. We've never had a "Thank You, Vince" or "Thank You, Eric." But the ECW fans did give a much deserved "Thank You, Paul!" It was that dedication that made ECW what it was, not just the violence or the T&A, but the heart and soul of the wrestlers, and the fans. |

| Now that sounds like a good idea. I don't even watch Smackdown anymore, and I only see Raw whenever I turn my TV on (it's on my Tivo but just because it's on Season Pass.) I've always said it went downhill when WCW lost its luster. The days of D-Generation X and Austin/McMahon vs. nWo and Goldberg are long over, never to return again. TNA and ROH aren't enough competition to provide much of a challenge. |

I cant believe that in 2006 there are still people who see something on a WWE broadcast and cant figure out if its a work or a shoot. Heres a clue for you. ITS NEVER A SHOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The second Joey Styles started heeling the fans it told me all i'll need to know about the next incarnation of ECW. They are going to be the bad guys who are crushed by the good guys in the WWE. And since Vince McMahon will never let anything outshine the WWE logo (even if he owns them both) for more than a week at a time it is destined to fail. Plus how do you have an ECW roster when the majority of the ECW talent the fans would have any interest in all work for Jarrett? Am I supposed to be impressed when RVdull comes out with a broken down Sabu, Balls Mahoney and Axle Rotten? |

I was at last years ECW One Night Stand PPV, it was OK. I think this years will be much better. Too bad no Dudley's, Raven... but with RVD main eventing it'll be like old times.
The Joey Styles "shoot" was awesome. I know it was scripted, but I was glad to hear from him what so many of us ECW fans were thinking.
I watch WWE because I'm a wrestling fan from way back, it's been so shitty for the last few years, I thinks it's starting to turn around. TNA is getting fun to watch too. I can't wait for the ECW return. |
