You are right, it would have been/would be pretty hard to deal with. Though in reality, something I said was taken out of context, so it's a little different. Semantics... Anyhow... First of all, I have to say, I'm sorry it took me so long to say this, but - get well soon. I feel so badly for you. Not only does it suck having the mumps, but how fucked up is it that you got them right before the film festival! It would have been such a great time for you. We missed you baby!!!
Second, I gotta ask, did you get the MMR shot as a child? And if so, does this mean that we all should get re-vaccinated? I'm sorry if this has already been addressed, I haven't been reading the site as much as I used to because of work and all. I have a few friends who have decided not to have their babies vaccinated with the available vaccines, but I didn't know of any people from back in the 60's or 70's who's parents had decided not to have them vaccinated. I was just wondering.
How are you feeling at this point? What is the treatment for that? My brother was hospitalized for mumps when he was like 2 years old. It was really bad. And come to think of it, he had been immunized for it. Maybe the series of shots wasn't finished at that point though. Not sure.

Hi babydoll!!! How was your trip home? It was so great to see you! Sorry I was so pooped after the FF and had to go to sleep. I knew we had to get out of our room by 11 the next day and we had bubba the next day too, so I wanted to make sure I got some sleep. I had a lot to drink at the after party. One of these days, we gotta fly out to you to visit! I hear Oregon is BEAUtiful!!! I'd love to come see you and say hi to Gary while out there!

That June get-together is centered around a Rev Bob Comedy Show, I believe. Sounds like it'll be a kick-ass time for all. Bob is hella funny and so are the others who'll be performing. Everyone who can make it to a Show absolutely SHOULD!
Regarding donating to SFN, you can send a check or money order through snail mail. If you click on the "donate" links, I'm sure Mutt has specified his mailing addy. If you have other questions about donating, send Mutt an email. He's the only one who processes memberships. I'm not unbiased, obviously, but being an SFN Supporter is WELL worth it! ;) |

I posted some stern words for her but it's nothing that I would be ashamed to say to her face. And it's nothing that I haven't said to my friends. Of course, some of them didn't speak to me for two months, but they came back. :p
Edit: I realize that few of us know what's really going on with her. From the outside looking in, people have reason to be angry or annoyed. But the poor girl has really taken a beating, much more than she deserved. Even in her condition, she was wrong to bash the site and its members; and she needs to repair some of the bridges she burnt. But some of the vile comments that people have posted make me wonder if Heart isn't the only one that took the site too seriously. |
