i got it the week before chirstmas.
i worked right next door to a place that sold sirius and sold me my unit. i think i must have told 100 people before chirstmas about sirius and how fuckin happy i was with it, even before bubba and howard were even on it. |

This is really surprising so far...
This is the tally except for a few I wasn't sure about when they said when they first heard Howard was going to satellite...so...without further ado...
Prior to June 2005.... 8
July 2005 to Jan 2006...9
Jan 2006 to present...6
I'm not counting radios activated the same time by the same person...but I am counting additional radio after the first activation. I did count if stated "within days of Howard on air"
for 2006.
So in conclusion the percentage of new subscribers was higher in the month of January 2006 than the total percentage of prior june 2005 and after July 2005 to Jan1 2006.
Also, as Howard was dropped from larger markets like Las Vegas more people went out and bought their radios...with Oct and Nov being the the months that pushed the listeners to buy Satellite because of Howard off the air. Finally, December was the rush to get Sirius for friends and family anticipating Howards revolutionary move to Sirius Satellite Radio! NO MORE BULLSHIT!! NO MORE BEEPS!!
This is not a scientific survey nor am I anything more than just a fan of Howard Stern and Bubba The Love Sponge...I was just cuntyurious. Lets see how this continues...

Got mine 9/05.....Was really unsure between XM & Sirius....Howard made my decision. I had never even heard of Bubba before 1/9. Glad Howard hired him though...great addition.
I have since bought a unit for my wife and my mother....my mom's even a Bubba fan....who would have ever thought? |

Here is the update so far...it may not be exact, but it's the closest I can get. I'm not counting multiple radios bought at the same time but I am counting if bought at different times. I am also counting the time it was bought and not the activation.
Prior to June 2005....16
July 2005 to Jan 2006...33
Jan 2006 to present...15
The radios bough sept 05 thru nov o5 is about equal the
number of radios bought the month of Dec 05
This is not a scientific survey...just a cunty wants to know survey
that is not exact but close enough.
Most radios bought earlier were for sports...but all seem to switch to Howard and Bubba!

I also live in Vegas and got my radio in Sept. of 05 for Howard Stern. I actually tuned in to bits of the craptacular and the all day farts and quefes. Been down with Bubba since 1/09. |

April 2004. Got it because the Panasonic head unit I wanted was SIRIUS ready only. The only problem was the tuner I got for it was not working, and had to have it replaced with a Kenwood unit. Later that summer the engine blew on that car and I went on to PNP units for my new car (Here2Anywhere, then Sportster Classic, then Sportster Reply, then Starmate after the Replay was stolen, and finally the S50.)
When I got the Replay, I gave my girlfriend the Sportster Classic, and will be adding the boombox to her collection this upcoming weekend, since I got the Executive Player for my S50. |
