At least twice a day my fucking radio pisses me off to a point I wanna chuck it out the window!!!
I get a good clear signal for most of the morning, then about Robins news it starts to drop out! THen I have to hang out the window fucking with my guinea-rigged holder to get a signal. Then it fades in and out, as if its mocking me! WHY DO YOU MOCK ME SIRIUS!!! Then I get all pissed off on what shitty service Im getting. Its a fucking radio! WORK DAMMIT!!!
I guess its the rotation of the Sirius sattilites. What the fuck? Do others have down time reception too??
Ok end of rant. |

hmmm, interesting. Mine seems to do the same thing at 11:00am every damn day. I'm not sure if it's something that they do to tweak the satellites, but it's just a bit too coincidental that it seems to happen at the same time everyday, when I don't seem to have a problem at all at any other time of the day. |

This is at work. My options are limited. Its weird. Its like Im on the edge of the good/bad reception line. I move the antenna and inch or 2 and back it comes. Only to dump out a few minutes later. |

Im guessing thats not it....Unless a tree lands on the top of my building at the same time every day.
Methinks its the figue 8 rotation of the 3 sattilites. Must be a reception hole somewhere. |

| I almost never lose signal in my vehicle and at home I have found a position that I may lose it for a few seconds here or there. Keep trying to put your antenna in a good spot. You'll find one. |

I have signal problems, too, both in the car and at home. I used to have my boombox in the office but I could barely get a good signal in here so I moved it up to my bedroom so I could listen to Howard as soon as I woke up in the morning. Didn't have a single problem for 4 months--and then last week it started fading in and out on me. It's been doing it sporadically for the last several days and it's beginning to piss me off. I keep adjusting the antenna but I can't seem to find a consistently good position for it.
And in one of our cars, I keep needing to change the reception station because of static in the morning. Both are getting pretty damn annoying. |

same thing happens to me. if they're in the middle of something good i go nuts moving the atenna outside, then inside, hanging it on the bush outside the window. its insane. (thats just the boombox that i have to carry back and forth w/ me to my sister's house). my husband just got the starmate replay for the house and it works awesome. i don't have to move it. find the spot where it works and just use another radio in the house. |

| i listened to that show they did with the sirius tech guys and they said the antenna had to be at a 180 degree angle to the sky and in a westward direction |

| getting sirius is like having a bottle of wine and no corkscrew. you love it, want it, need it but no way to get it. i spend 50% of my workday moving the antenna because the windows are fixed and i can't get to the roof. it's torture. |

| Same thing happens to me about 12pm ont the west coast...It lasts about 1h where I have to move my antena around, then around 1 its great again???? |

| I've been ok as of late. . .but a week or so ago. . .about 3 hours into the show I had to drag the antenna all the way over to back window. . . |

The only problem I'm having is when driving around...I tend to get interference from other vehicles that have Sirius too. I pick up whatever they might be listening too and it always happens during all the good parts of the show. It's a tad bit annoying to be honest.
My In-Demand complaint is as follows:
The On Demand in Vermont has not added any new content in almost two weeks. I keep hearing Howard mention on the air & the SFN mentioning certain segments and I'm not seeing them. For instance, none of the show's recent guests in the last two weeks have been added and the 2 ½ hour film festival special is not up there. ¦I know a lot of people have seen this already in other areas. Rapping Granny segment is another one that everyone else is seeing. The last segment to be added is the Amy Miller appearance from 5/03.
I've called & e-mailed both Adelphia Cable & In Demand...but no one seems to care. |

| It hasn't happened to me in like 2 months but mine used to go out from 1:30 to 1:45pm every day. I am right by Philly. It had to have something to do with the positioning of the satellites. I called Sirius about it and then it hasn't happened since. |

Same shit for me. It's so bad I kept my
XM unit for work. They desperately need to get the ground repeaters upgraded. |

It is hard to get a good signal from any building or house I have tried at, I open windows and set stands atop couches and now I have a car antenna dangling from my curtin rod, attached to a string tacked to the celing in my room.
I get a good workout running up and down the stairs.
I have had one bad reciever and one car power-ciggarett lighter plug in thinger that didn't ever work and one that just shit the bed.
Starmate Rewind works good and I get decent reception in cars, I just have the thing sitting on the dash. |

Rarely cuts out on me - maybe twice a week, and only for a minute or two - and I have my antenna in a window sill inside my apartment. But I understand your anger. It's NEVER a good time to lose the signal, and it always feels like an eternity.
I'm in the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes states.
The streaming is on the way!

| From time to time I have trouble at my office but all it takes is a little shift of the antenna to regain the signal. It's a small price to pay for what we get. |

| Mine cuts out when I am driving in my neighborhood... it is very tree-lined. As soon as I turn in where trees hang over all the streets, my signal goes in and out. |

It is always when jeff the drunk is crying at a theripist or when I me and my woman want to listen to music that the shit is cutting out.
I have the thing set up to transmit to my clock radio so I wake up hearing the live show; Never made me late once. |

the worst is right before it goes out and that tin reverb sound with Howard's voice if he's talking reminds me of when Captain Kirk was trapped in another dimension
eventually they will have more ground repeaters, but yeah I share the sentiment-- |

| At 6:00 PM I have to move it to one side of the house and at 8:00 PM I have to move it back. Thats the worst for me. |

| every once in a while mine will cut out during the news as well. I even have the antenna ouside my house. It usually only lasts a few seconds to a minute or so and I'm not sure how to fix it. I'll deal with it though cause the show f'n rules and I used to have to get a scrambled signal from San Fran or Fresno before he moved to sirius. |

Have you looked at this page at Sirius?
Ever since I started putting it out in the recommended area, I haven't lost signal. |

| i listen to it at work, so i obviously can't place the antenna outside. it works pretty well, however i do get total dropouts at different times of the day. 8am to 11:30am its cool... then 11:30am til 3pm it sucks and is on 50% of the time at the most. then its back after that. WHATEVER. man there have been some days when i wanna fucking bash the shit out of it like i do to my cell phone! then howard comes back on and im like a heroin addict after a fix... |

| Im in Los Angeles and the bloody thing gives me all kinds of shit after 6pm on my way home from work. Constantly "aquiring signal". I think my starmate may be faulty, I'll have my antenna plugged in and get "antenna not detected" numerous times as well. And don't get me started on the power cord. My unit is always turning off! :( |

| Just off the phone with XACT and my recently received replacement is on it's way back tomorrow. I think the hardware is shittier that most of us already know it is. Gotta give credit to XACT though on the ease in return and the quick replacement. They must know the products generally suck. |
