While it's true that the price of an XM share is about 13.75 (the lowest I've seen it), the price of Sirius is ALSO the lowest I've seen: 3.68.

These are closing prices as of 5/24/06. Only a month ago, Sirius was well over $6.

I can understand XM's plummet but can someone explain the Sirius plummet?

XM is still the premier company in the industry. They've been hit with a shit-storm of problems in the last few months. When XM plummets like it has, some invsestors think the entire industry is in trouble so Sirius gets hit with the shrapnel. In reality, Sirius is poised to turn a profit at the end of the year. That could change some people's minds.

On the upside, it could be a good time to buy more stock!

Their both shit. I have sirius for Howard, but other than that I have no interest in satelite radio.

This stock shit is starting to piss me off.

The market went down. You buy quality stock and HOLD it, don't day-trade, that's a guaranteed way to lose money. The market will still go up and down. As the Boomers retire the market ought to go up to unprecedented heights -- 30,000 points on the NYSE..? Stay tuned...

Generally when the major player in a sector is struggling, they will cause the whole sector to suffer. Since XM is, for now, the leader, when their stock takes a beating, they will drag Sirius down with them.

Once the industry tackles the problem of portable live units I really think that satellite will take off!

Sirius stock is gonna rise later this year because of Sirius new contract with NASCAR which starts in 2007 with Speedweek at Daytona. I am a big Nascar fan and XM will take a big hit losing that contract because alot of racing fans have XM radio just because of Nascar. They will be making the switch to Sirius by the opening of the 2007 season. I know because I have both XM and Sirius just because of Nascar. XM is a stock that should be sold! I will dump XM right after the final race at Homestead in Miami in November.

It dosent help that XM's Hugh Paderno is going around saying "the industry" is suffering. That guy is such a douchebag .

Isn't this the same nonsense that was told when Howard went to Sirius?

I take this as a buy signal for Sirius stock!

These stocks are for investors with big balls who are looking far into the future. XM at one point was around 40, look where they are today.

Sirius has been dragged down by XM, plain and simple. I bought more yesterday, and this morning it's already rebounding. Sirius is not XM, and when more people start to realize that things will get even better.

Cheesecake is delicious, but it's so rich. I love strawberries. A light dessert that's something like cheesecake is panna cotta, cream pudding usually served with a coulie of raspberries or something like that... delicious... subtle...

'Merrill Lynch analyst Laraine Mancini said Sirius' price drop has been due to bad news for XM, not for Sirius.

After Sirius reaffirmed its growth guidance for this year Wednesday, Mancini maintained a "Buy" rating and $9 price target.

"Investors must separate XM news flow from SIRI fundamentals, which should be easier to do as SIRI continues to meet its milestones while XM works to eliminate overhangs," Mancini wrote in a research note.'

Here's an example of why Sirius stock has been suffering:

http://www.forbes.com/2006/05/30/si...tml?partner=msn

The FCC has not hinted at investigating Sirius. Sirius has not hinted at stopping radio production. But this "expert" thinks that Sirius might have problems only because suXM is having problems.

Satellite radio is thriving. XM is having trouble. Sirius is thriving. For now, that's all there is to know.

Experts like these are what investors listen to. These are also the same type of experts that predict Howard will fail in everything he does. They are always wrong.

Buy some Sirius before it's up to $11 and you are kicking yourself!

Sirius is a growth medium where over air TV services are in decling due to loss of customers to Satelite, cable, the internet, and ipod. XM is acting more like a over the air broadcaster loosing content and customers.

Sirius is a tech play, a broadcast play, and also can be a transport and retail play since sirius is in new cars and retail stores.

XM is similar but seems to leader in Satelite Radio without having a strong product. The demand for this form of entertainment is high if a poor product can be a market leader.

I notice both Sirius and XM have trouble making sucessful advertising campaigns. XM seems to have wasted 150 million before christmas advertising content they were about to loose, Opie and Anthony, Nascar, and comercial free Music.
Drex
fuck you xm, you are not going to continue to drag siri down
