Xact piece of shit. I have had 3 of these things since July 05. 1st one lasted 8 months, sent it back when it flamed. bought 2nd one on ebay, it was crap from the get go. 3rd one arrived from Xact and it is a loser too.

will be buying a starmate this weekend. for anyone just starting out, do not buy an Xact XTR1.

Audiovox with Boombox, Homekit (for office) and car kit. Love it. I use the sleep feature to fall asleep by and the wake up at 6:03 for the show. I like the FM transmitter feature as I have the boombox in one room and I listen through my bedside FM radio at night and when I wake up. In the car I prefer to use the cassette adapter as opposed to the FM transmitter. At the office, I use the FM transmitter to a small office stereo. Unfortunately the SAT cut in and out during the course of the day as the Satelite moves. I have windows that don't open at the office and the best I can do is the antenna on the window sill. I try to move it back and forth along the window sill during the day. Its far from perfect, but its not the radios fault, its an antenna problem with Sirius. Not unusual for modern offices where there aren't open windows and no local relays. I'm very happy with the Audiovox.

In my Jeep I have a Kenwood deck that came Sirius ready. I got it a couple years ago before I heard of Sirius, then subscribed in 04. It's hardwired and I love it.

And I have a CRSR-10 in the house that I also take on the boat or in the wife's car.
khball
I have the Audiovox 3. I think its great. Too bad they discontinued the model. Ebay for accessories in the future. Sounds like you're set up nicely olim.

I've had the Xact Visor for 6 months and never had any problems. It's on for at least 10 hours a day, I take it back and forth from the house to the car. No signs of wearing out yet, like some others have said...but I take really good care of mine. I have a feeling that the complainers are throwing theirs around like it's a cheap walkman, yanking on the wires rather than pulling by the conection tip etc... gotta treat it like a piece of important stereo equipment...as if Howard himself were actually in the radio. Ok, that last part might be a little over the top...but that kind of thinking will make your radio last alot longer.

I have the sporster replay and it is a piece of crap. In 4 months have the lights have burned out and the radio runs very hot. the main screen overheats and get vertical lines all over the screen. I called Sirus about warantee and they told me the "Computers were down and would call back" Still waiting for that callback...

dudeman230
xact visor. no problems with it yet. i also carry it back and forth to the car and house. I plan on getting a second one so i can rig it up in the car where i can see it but outsiders can't. that way it won't get stolen. i also found a way to hide the antenna so that it can't be seen but i still get strong signal. can't be too obvious, i live in atlanta ga. lots of bad people there. lol

sportster replay. It's awesome, being a deputy sheriff i can pause it when i get to a call so i don't miss anything unless i get a couple calls right after each other.

I have the Sirius One. I'm in the car a lot. It was $30 after rebate.

I only listen to 100 and 101 and the other three buttons are Raw Dog, First Wave 22 and Elvis 13 during commercials.

I just use the five buttons like an old fashioned radio. It plugs into the lighter and seems to not work so hot in rain and in tree-filled neighborhoods. Output is through my FM radio.

It's crappy but GOOD ENOUGH for talk radio.

Though now it's convertible weather and I have to turn it down when the top is down and something seemy is going on.
muntz
have XACT Stream Jockey 1 and Starmate Replay.... both with home kits... both are working good... but really want to look at the new portable when it comes out....

Clarion Calypso - 2 home & 2 car kits.

Depending on the new true portable, I may trade up. However I am really not away from a wired signal for that long to where it would be much more beneficial, especially with all the replays.

Brix Streamer GT. I've got an Xact XS075 boombox on the way for it as well.

Love it! and the boomcube just increases its versatility 10-fold!

I have the Audiovox SIR-PNP3. It is about to give up the ghost though. I get "Antenna not detected" all the time, the backlight goes out from time to time and sometimes the audio sounds like a tape running at half speed (if I turn it off and back on, this corrects it). Hoping to get the S50 in a few weeks.
