The Visor works great. It's a no frills unit, simple, but it works. Reception has nothing to do with the cost of the receiver but with where you place the antenna and whether or not you get inteference from local FM stations. So to solve both:
a) Place the antenna outside the car so it has an unobstructed view of the skies in all directions.
b) If you want to eliminate FM interence with the built-in transmitter, just use a cassette-type direct connection(i.e. the one that looks like a cassette and plugs into the cassette deck). Otherwise, just find her the best FM frequency to use for your location.
If you do these two she'll be set with the Visor. It's a great radio, you just have to install and use it correctly. Works for a lot of people on a tight budget. Good luck and enjoy! |

| Also take off the OEM car antenna to get better signal and less interference from shit FM stations. Cars look better without them too. |
