This may now be moved to WGAS. Thanks for letting me vent. Cheaper than a $300/hr psychotherapist.

I have my Francis jersey encased in a glass frame, has quite a few signatures on it. (Yep, I'm a geek).

I wear my Primeau jersey once and a while. Anyone seen wearing a Shanahan jersey gets an instant beatdown.

I miss the Whalers... I hope CT gets another hockey team soon!!

I found a spot that is clear of any trees and never have a problem with the signal! :D

I took my wife's car to work today and just for kicks, I checked out FM radio. The content sucked but it was a pure joy to listen uninterruped the entire way to work. No drop outs under bridges or under trees, no signal loss anywhere.
Altepeter
YOU EVER SIT IN YOUR CAR SCREAMING "ACQUIRE!!"

yesterday it was horrible for a solid day. never happened before now it's working perfect again
LIFAN12
Shit happens.

I hate when I lose the signal in the middle of a funny bit or something...I hope it's something that Sirius will work on for future products down the road.

So what unit do you guys have?

I have the Sportster. And I plan on upgrading it either when my one year is up or possible getting 2 years out of it before changing to a newer unit

i don't know what kind of radio you people have, but mine almost NEVER cuts out.. And i live in Brooklyn. In the City, it cuts out just for a hot second around 42nd when driving on FDR.. That;'s it.

I take it that the Earth is spinning duh...but gosh....I have mine facing out in the clear of all objects, and still get the A.S. message sometimes ( not even same time of day)

The radio doesn't cut out for you because of the terrestrial repeaters that are in the NYC area...

I have noticed problems between 11:25-11:40am for the past week, or so.

in the cities there are ground repeaters, like cel towers....... in downtown Vancouver, I even get a signal parkades as long as they are not underground.

The Earth spins and the three Sirius satellites rotate in a geosynchronous orbits, leaving a few occasional gaps.

Riley Martin?

The last two weeks or so it's been pretty bad in my car. No troubles before that. I'd say a good 5 minutes of my trip is me yelling "FUCKING PLAY" at the unit.
TLD
Might be sunspots causing a problem. They would screw up my satellite tv when I had it.
starchild
Riley's alien friends must be fucking w/the signal
BonswanaMiliken
Sirius needs more ground repeaters. My morning drive is filled with signal dropouts and it really pisses me off. If I wasn't such a big Howard fan there is no way I would put up with Sirius' bullshit signal.
muntz
glad to hear there were problems yesterday my friend dave was freaking out cause he had no signal no signal calling me at 1:30am and we took his unit to boston.... so tuesday was over his house til 9pm adjusting it... actually put the magnetic antenna outside his window to his air conditioner... definitely got better reception... even here in nyc wind can wreck the repeater signal sometimes.... damn....
