Well as if Howard being on vacation isn't bad enough, today my Sirius won't turn on. Yes its plugged in.
Past couple of weeks I noticed it wouldn't keep a signal I thought it was the antenna and would have to position it better. Never thought the whole unit would die. It is a Starmate Replay.
My question is thou, what are your experiences with Sirius customer service. I don't think I have my receipt when I bought it at Radioshack back in January 06.
Any help would be great. |

Bring it back to Radio Shack, bought my starmate replay there, died after 4 months, when I brought it in the girl guessed I had a replay and returned it no problem.
Store to store could mean a different result but I had no trouble at all. |

| The store may even be able to look it up and see exactly when you bought it too. |

thanks for the help guys. I went by a radioshack not the one I purchased from. They basically said I could buy a new one or they could charge me $20 to send it back and get it repaired which who knows how long will take or how much money it will cost.
I might try calling the radioshack I bought it from and see what they say.
I didn't buy their warranty so they said their in store is only 30 days.
Grrrrrrrr  |

| Call Sirius' 800 number and they will hook you up. I have the starmate and they told me there is a 1 year warranty. I drove over my remote and they sent me a whole new unit. I took out what I wanted and sent the rest back. |

Call Sirius....
I just broke my old school starmate...mailed it to their service center in florida. ($5 with UPS) yesterday I got a brand new in box Starmate Replay. The only thing it cost me was to ship and they gave me a free month for my trouble. Everyone I talked to was very nice. You have to send a power supply and antenna with it. I sent my home stuff because it was easier then pulling stuff out of my car. The replay they sent my came with the car stuff. I called them back and asked about my home kit and they are sending me a brand new Starmate Replay home kit for
nothing.

| Go to Best Buy or something, and just buy a new one. Put the broken one into the new receivers' box, and keep the new receiver. Bring it back to Best Buy, say it's broke, and ask for your money back. |

I really don't want to fuck another store. I got off the phone with sirius they said to call radioshack and they will send out another unit since its under 1 year. But their closed till Monday. I just wonder how long it will take until I get a new unit.
Damn it why didn't this happen at the beg of the week so I could listen to next week. |

If I do Cap420's route, Can I change radio's under Sirius plan. Meaning can I take the existing one off and put the new one on ?
Won't they look up the SID of the old radio I give Bestbuy and get pissed that its a used one ?
It seems kind of risky since they have all your info. Its not a dvd player or something like that. |

Actually, it may work, Sirius isn't going to actually check to see if you paid for a new one, good call :D |

| It will work, trust me. Tell them your old radio failed and Radio Shack replaced it, they wont care |
