Anyone have any issues with the power supply cutting out? The problem appears to be at the unit source - used 2 different power cords. Almost like the connection is loose...? Can I just exchange the unit at Radio Shack?

TIA guys.

I haven't had that problem.

Sorry to hear that...

Mine does it sometimes. If I just leave the Starmate alone and don't touch it or change channels, its fine, but if I move it around and change channels, it'll lose power sometimes.

my bf has that problem with his car kit. No problems for mine though (yet)

It's doing it on both.

Thanks pegleg. That's what I've been doing, it's just a pain in the ass if I hit a bump on the expressway. I can't wait to get my Beamer back (Sirius is installed in the radio on that car) so I will only have to worry about keeping the unit still at home and work which isn't that big of a deal.

And sorry for posting this is the wrong forum.. never had an issue before so I wasn't sure where to put the question.

Mine started doing this same thing a couple weeks ago. It gets plugged & unplugged about 4 times a day as it goes from home to car to garage etc... Continually plugging something that often is bound to loosen things up a bit. I sure hope I don't get booted on my first post.

The same thing happened to me with my Starmate Replay. I called Sirius and told them what it was doing and they had me send it back into them and they replaced it with a brand new one free of charge. All i had to pay for was the shipping and handling. It took maybe a week to get my new radio so all is good.

I'm going to call radio shack and see if they will do a swap. Makes more sence than sending it back to sirius. Thanks for the imput guys.

Same thing here, except they upgraded my old Starmate to a new Starmate Replay...NICE...

Just buy a new starmate, keep the new one and put your broken on in the box. Then tell them it doesnt work and return in.

Victimless crime!

Nope, no problems, although I can see potential!!!
