Grab ya a Xact visor for 30 bones and be done with it. at 30-40 bucks you can replace them every six months and still be ahead of the game.
With the way things are changing and improving, I'm not spending any real money on a "Good" receiver for another year or so. |

Yeah...I have the Xact reciever in my car. Cost me 40. bucks at Circuit City. The way I look at it, it's already given me 5+ months of service. If it craps out, I'll get a new one! |

I can vouch for my experience with my Xact receivers. My streamjockey 1 has had virtually continuous use since my birthday in 2005. Never had a problem. ( It is hot) My visor is very good without issue as well.
It aint pretty, it's not sexy, no fancy bells and whistles. but they work and work well. |

That's from the display. Go into the menu & turn down the brightness & contrast as low as it will go. It cuts the heat way down. I keep mine in front of a fan on my desk too. |

| My buddy who is on the board also had his new unit a month old go bad the FM transmitter stopped sending signal. So Sirius told him to send it to there claims dept in Florida and they would fix it send him a new one. Well 3 almost 4 months later he still is without his unit and no Howard. Luckily he barely pick up my signal at work so he gets Howard while I'm in the office. |
