Despite the rantings of AB...here are the facts:
1. The investigation has gone for more than 2 years, by a respected by the left (until today, maybe) prosecutor.
2. He has been unable to find that any crime was committed , by ANYONE in the White House, under the Intelligence Identities Protection Act.
3. Scooter Libby has been indicted for obstruction and perjury.
4. President Bush and VP Cheney are not targets of the investigation.
That's it ! Case closed. AB...you and the remainder of the left wing Bush haters can leave the theatre now. The show has been over for quite some time. The events of today are essentially the lights being turned out, and doors locked, while you hope against all common sense that the show will start back up. Go home..its over. |

Case closed? Wow. Could've fooled me... last time I checked the case was still open and at least one man is indicted for obstruction of justice.
And it's worthless to point out to someone as dishonest as you, but not being charged with a crime and being exonerated are 2 different things. All we know is apparently Fitz decided not to charge karl Rove with a crime. That could mean he made a deal to save his own ass, it could mean he rolled on someone else, it mean alot of things.
And regardless of your cheering, the behavior of this white house in respect to this case is beyond sickening. They have lied about everything from not knowing anyone working in the administration was involved, to Rove saying he "learned" of the leaking FROM the media ...
If you call yourself an american there is nothing to cheer about in this case. Our national security was damaged because some douchebag in the Bush administration leaked a CIA agent's name to retalliate for her husband hurting their case selling the needless Iraq war. |

Not to mention that Libby fell on his sword and LIED to the grand jury about his involvement and what he knew. If he didn't LIE, the whole house may have crumbled. That's something for the republicans to be proud of, Libby LIED and saved their ass.... |

That's right. But don't try to define that for Mike. In the past when I have spelled this all out for him he acts as if obstruction of justice is the same as being found "not guilty" of something else... |

they think that outing Plame was in the interest of National Security because she was basically a shill for Saddam Hussein and would rather have him still in power.

Identity theft, and no I'm not suing yet -- didn't mean to imply that, CT. That was a mistake on my part. What IS happening is the person in question is being watched. He last tried to get into our home a couple of months ago (my daughter's computer -- how low is that?).
The Florida guy tried to buy property in my name. My boss asked me why I was looking into such a thing, and I totally freaked.

It must be nice to justify a huge breach of national security by celebrating that they buried enough of the evidence to avoid being indicted. :rolleyes:
Meanwhile every foreign power is now digging deep into thier files to interrogate everyone in thier governments that ever had any kind of contact with not only Valerie Plame but every other covert person who was even remotley connected to the same CIA front company (Brewster Jennings) she "worked" for.
