its mainly because Hamas provides school, health care etc... to the people there while the PLO is hamstrung with internal corruption |

Did the fucktard who started this thread ever stop to think that maybe Israel WANTED Hamas to win? If they were so AGAINST Hamas, they would have given much more support to Abbas, instead of thwarting him at every turn.
I hate to say it, but CT made a very poignant observation; terrorism plays into Neocons' and Zionists' hands. By having a Hamas led government, Israel now has the "moral" justification to continue culling the Palestinians and successfully requesting US financial and military aid due to their "precarious" situation.
