| I know this has been talked about to death, but come on. This channel is supposed to updated daily. Not counting Jamie Pressly and repeated shows, there hasnt been any new content added in almost a week. The last daily show to be added was the Farting Olympics. Its nausiating. |

| Cablevision put up 6/26 but not 6/21....perhaps they have a hard time understanding the calendar....I'm going to try to help them figure it out tomorrow on June 30th. |

normally i would think this insane, but with the amount of gripes I’ve had the past few months, along with the vacations (not to mention 2 week one on the way)… i might give the "one on one off" plan a shot! |

| When you have a monopoly in your area, why would they give a crap, since they already have our money. That is the way that nearly all cable TV operators think. They'll supply the updates when they feel like it, or you constantly call up to complain and ask where a specific show is and when will it be available. |

They give a stock answer as usual we're working on it. We haven't had an updated show since the end of June 2006. I like HowardTV but give them a kick in the ass.
And keep complaining to the cable comany.
And right now half the videos don't load. They give another STOCK anaswer it's a technical problem. Did anyone think of trying this out for 6 months be4 they put it out to the public or were they just too busy being greedy and wanted to start racking in the $$$$.
Dont know how much longer I will be suscribed, but then they don't care anymore. One quits 100 join. And when you call Rogers to complain they conveniently say, "we're experiencing large call volumes so the delay may be long" Yea right at 2:30 am??
Your not experiencing large call volumes, your experencing low employees staffing. Hire more real people to answer the fucking phones.
Rogers Cable TV in Toronto Canada, they also own the Blue Jays.

If you cancel it I think they pro-rate it.
So if you pay $20 per month for it and you only watch for 15 days
then they charge you $10.
I like that.
Then the only pronlem is getting through to them to cancel and re-order.
Because they have "high call volumes"
But what it is, is low staffing problems.
When it's working I like it.
Does anyone know when ONdemand sends the updates to the cable operators?
Once a week, every 2 weeks, every month?

| I'm really torn about cancelling. I love the content and I think Doug and the crew do an awesome job. But my Comcast cable drops the ball every time! I live in Salem MA and the cable company out here blows. I look on the HowardTV website and see how many shows I don't have and go nuts. |

Salem? I got rid of Comcast when they gave me a fucking digital cable box that didn't have a program timer! What a shitty company. Dish Network rules. |

As of today Cablevision in NY is up to date with all recently released content. The only problem on the system is "Howard's" rejected film festival films are actually "Artie's" films. It doesn't look like they're going to fix it.
From what I've seen posted here Cablevision is one of the best systems for HTV. |

The problem with HTV is two fold. The HTV staff are not competent to run a full channel of programing. Doug Goodstein is clearly in over his head and doesn't have enough staff to program the channel properly. The daily shows are rarely updated as promised and there is little original programing. It appears from these posts that all of the major cable providers (time warner, cox, comcast) don't update as promised. Has anyone else ever had a problem with any of the other on demand channels? I haven't. When HBO promises that a Sopranos episode will be available on demand it is always there. For whatever reason none of the major cable providers offer consistent updates. Does anyone know why cable providers don't "upload" the new HTV episodes each day? It sounds like it's little more than pressing a button to have the new episodes uploaded. If anyone is in the cable industry and knows how the "on demand" technology works I'd love to know.

The HTV content is distributed by iNDEMAND via a satellite link to each cable system. It is up to the individual cable system to update the systems ON DEMAND HTV channel.
