I went to insidefighting.com, the website listed on that gay jiu-jitsu pic in hugo's thread, and caught this in the news section:
Murray Captured in Morocco
Top middleweight mixed martial artist Lee Murray was arrested on Sunday in Rabat, Monacco in connection with the February 22nd robbery of the Tonbridge Securitas cash depot in Kent, England. The heist netted more than $93 million in cash, making it the largest cash heist in United Kingdom history. The 26-year-old was apprehended along with three other British citizens at a shopping centre and now awaits extradition proceedings.
also mentioned is that after Ultimate Fight Night and then Blade:The Series comes the Ultimate FN recap show, on whuch the TUF4 cast will be revealed. |

Yeah, that's two days old, GayT.
But the Lee Murray stuff is fucking wild. The guy is a moron, though. He used to post stories about his streetfights across the UK on sherdog, and he honestly reads/writes at about an 8th grade level. He's clearly no criminal mastermind. It was a matter of time before he bragged about the crime or lost will power and went to a public mall (where he got arrested, I believe).
You'd think the guy would have turned things around in the opposite direction after recovering from a near-fatal stabbing, but people really don't change. It's too bad, too, because he had a great upside as a fighter if he improved training practices and got into a higher profile camp.
His years of MMA training should come in handy during his 30 year prison stay. |

OUCH!!!
that's sad...i missed most of this guy's career and havent plugged into the MMA online community really so i get this stuff late, but to me it was ntoable bcuz i was surprised this hasn't happened sooner...particualrly back when UFC n other leagues had a more lawless-kumite kinda feel.
i woulda thought the increased discipline and rigor of present-day MMA camps would have weeded out or corrected this kinda doofus before he could get into that kinda trouble. |

| He's been on the run for a while now. His claim to fame was supposedly cold-cocking Tito Ortiz in a street fight. Another Brit fighter named Jeremy "bad Boy" Bailey has just been arrested for money laundering. What's up with these guys?? |

Yeah. And Tito's excuse for getting KTFO was that he was wearing dress shoes at the time and slipped. :D |
