Ok.... Being from boston, thats to be expected.... My name is Artty..... Im big but not as big as Artie....
I hate the yankees as much as he loves them....
I'm like the Bizarro Artie.... atleast the people that listen to the show and know me would agree....
I guess i just felt like seeing how many stern fans are sox or yankees fans.... its always a touchy subject!
I'm watching best of on HSOD.... and he was saying how he zoned out and wanted to talk about the yankees instead.... |

| lol, i probably know a lot more about baseball that most of you, but that doesnt make for a fun conversation.... you dont have to know anything about baseball to hate steinbrenner and the yankees, that should just come naturally to the average american. and ny fans can babble about being 3 games behind with 3 players on the DL.... waaaah... we have pitchers on the DL and have been getting some decent starts out of them, luckily enough... because the fact of the matter is.... both teams have important components on the DL and come october, that excuse wont cut it.... and my poor parents? they have nothing to be ashamed of, i've exceeded both of them in life and thats all..... its saturday, im on vacation..... so im shutting down my computer and leaving to relax........ bye for now ehhhhhhhhhhh |

You love Damon and he is a great player, but when he switches teams you think he sucks. He still is the great player just on your enemy team. ESPN puts the best teams on tv for RATINGS. It suks for baseball and essentially is a negtive for all of professional sports that the Yankees have such an obvious, uncontrolled financial advatange.
A good example of the effect are my Devils Rays, under the ownership of Vince Namoli who knowingly couldn't compete and directed the organization purposely for profit versus ball club performance. A fact is that with their league low player payroll and abismal attendence they always among the top 3 teams every season in clear profits.
....And Yankee fans - anyone from the NY region is understandable for their allegiance, the others throught the country are "band wagon" jumpers and usually more obnoxious.

The object of the game is to win and as long as he isnt breaking the rules he is doing what it takes. He is paying the luxury tax that goes to the other teams, it is not his fault that those other teams dont use that money wisely |
