Relax man, Everyone Including Tito would have prefered another 40 or so elbows to Ken's head before the stopage. It appears that Ref couldn't stand to see the beating Ken was taking and not defending himself.
It wasn't Dana, Tito. or Ken ( he couldn't do anything obviously) . It was that Ref's deal. |

Dude I respect Tito to the tilt, but my problem is with the ref who is out of his element *thats why Big John does champ matches
Tito is a great fighter (which I have said multiple times) but that stop was BS. I think Tito would have won, but he didn't deserve to win at that moment. |

Hey I will admit that Tito owned his ass without question, but my problem is let the fight end on it's own.
Chuck would have won by the judges if not by the corner ending it, but the fight didn't need to end when it did.
I understand fighter safety etc. I have friend who fight(not UFC) but don't let the refs decide the fights. |

It is the overwhelming opinion that the fight was stopped too soon. Tito slammed ken to the floor, and proceeded to elbow him in the head. after the 2nd elbow Tito says Ken went limp. I couldn't tell from the TV angle. Tito then proceeded to elbow him about 5times to the face Shamrock didn't defend the ref stepped in and stopped it 1:18 into the first round.
I would have prefered 3 more solid minutes of elbows to ken's unprotected head. ( it appears everyone else including tito feels this way.)
Let down. Ken was as prepared as his fighters during the Tuf season. That is to say he wasn't.

That was the first UFC fight I ever saw and it bored me to tears. It is what gave me the opinion that Royce Gracie was a boring fighter, and I was so glad that Matt Hughes owned him. |

Yeah the Silva situation was a bit troublesome.
Pride is like the clasical music of MMA , full of artists, and outstanding fighters.
UFC- is the Rock-n-roll of MMA. Popular, cool, and filled with Artists and some are not quite as talented.
Pride and Pride supporters would be best served holding their tounges until a Pride fighter (silva) SHOWS the power of Pride fighting. Otherwise, Pride supporters sound like the annoying kid who knows all the obscure indy music, and everything else is crap. |

I agree ut I feel Pride fighters have shown they are better already. What happened when DAna White put all that money on Chuck winning the MW Pride Grand Prix.....Rampage made he cry out in pain! We just recently saw what happened to Leben when he stepped up to fight a member of Chute Boxe. Let's not get started about what Fedor will do to the HW in the UFC |
