Cheney uses Mideast as campaign issue

TAMPA, Fla. - Vice President Dick Cheney on Friday pointed to the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah as fresh evidence of the ongoing battle against terrorism that underscores the need to keep President Bush's Republican allies in control of Congress.
"This conflict is a long way from over," Cheney said at a fundraising appearance for a GOP congressional candidate. "It's going to be a battle that will last for a very long time. It is absolutely essential that we stay the course."

Uh, isn't Israel doing their own fighting? What does the U.S. Military have to do currently with that fight? Idiotic point unless Ole'Dickey wants to get America involved directly against the "terrorists" in Lebanon, perhaps the oval office should worry more about getting Americans out of Lebanon rather than supposedly supporting the fight against terrorism that is going on there :rolleyes:

yeah we were lied to about that to, when he shot the funeralgate lawyer he was standing much closer than 30 yards that they claimed, it was more like 15 ft which means it was not a accident.
