Actually, of those 88,000+ members, only about 5,200 have posted more than 50 times.
However, the opinions of those 5,200 people are HIGHLY valued to Howard due to how much he mentions SFN on the air. Many of his staff and the on-air personalities are here, and he's admitted to lurking here on more than one occasion.
So if you assume that there are four million avid listeners to his show, that means that SFN is a pretty exclusive club since less than one percent of his fan base has such a profound impact on him and his show.
So other boards could have 100,000 members, but I doubt any of those boards would be even one billionth as relevant as this one is. |

If I can just get past this 30/30 rule I will become 5201. I'm too fucken cheap to pony up for membership on this site so I will just wait it out.
The BMW boards I frequent ALOT have spawned smaller forums for those haters that got banned.
My feeling, if you can't play nice you don't get to come to the party. Most trouble makers on forums are just pissed that they have to post from their mother's basement on Dial Up. That coupled with their inability to get laid makes them into pitiful wastes of bandwith.

SO! Why even bring this up? It's the membership that counts, not the 'post whores' who clutter up the board and probably scare away any new members from posting , FOR FEAR of being ATTACKED by the morons. |

| Perhap's there could be a lottery guest spot, instead of having the same stable of panelist's each week to choose from, maybe Mutt can pick on person from a lottery. Someone can e-mail a special e-mail address, Mutt pick's an e-mail at random and that person get's a shot on SFRT, everyone that e-mail's has to be able to get to the studio's in NYC to be able to do the show. It would be cool to have a permanently rotating chair, once you win the lottery you can't win again for a year. |

The success of the show is very closely tied to the rapport that all the panelists have with each other, so I think Mutt would need to screen his guests ahead of time to make sure they fit in right. That probably involves some sort of face-to-face meeting BEFORE he agrees to have them on the show. |

Does traffic ranking count multiple hits from the same IP or MAC address? :dontknow:
FOr instance, if I have one account, and peek in in the morning, then at lunch does that count as 2 hits?
If so than that isnt very accurate either...a million hits could be from like 1,000 people. |

It doesn't have to be accurate as to the exact number of unique hits... it's all relative. I'm sure every site has similar usage patterns from the members.
So I have faith in those numbers as far as a gauge for overall site popularity. |

This one flamefest/hacker forum would get about 20 or so core members to use proxies, get new accounts, let them sit idle for a week and at once they'd post that shit in every thread.
Real juvinile group of assholes, but they were hilarious when they were just rippin' on each other. These were all guys that got banned from bimmerforums and M3forums that had a big grudge and enough computer skills to be nasty.
I preferred to go there to verbally bitch slap people and make fun of retards and such but it got old quick. These jerkoffs had made friends with eachother and got all soft and shit.
So basically a flamer's forum became carebearnation so I left.

| This place should be ranked #1 by far. It gets mentioned on almost a daily basis by the King himself for almost a full year now. Let people e-mail Mutt if they've been banned, or join here to request the appearance. Being banned from here doesn't necessarily mean they should not be allowed on SFRT. I'm sure there are one or two people who should never get on regardless though. |
