WTF, it is cutting in and out and skipping etc.

But 3 times now it just started playing very slow and actually sounds like when you slow down your old school record player. I had to reset the channel to get it back.

Anyone else having this problem or is it my ISP?

I think it depends where you live. I heard recently that there was a problem in the philly area with the repeaters. Aparently they are up again but maybe they're still having a problem in the part of the country.

Here in Toronto it is clear, thank goodness....
hattrick
fine here....maybe you need to relocate ;)

I have no problems at home with a DSL line, but I do have the same problems at work because I have to use a dial up connection.
marke mark
Sometimes mine freezes and I have to close it and open a new window. Happens on all 3 the computers I use.
sfgirl
Yes, it happened to me today.
brboo
yeah, today it was happening like every 5-10 minutes
jonvall
It happens to me too. What happens is the stream starts out at 49 k/bits sec and slowly drops down to like 22 k/bits. I have no idea why but the voices sound like a tape being played at half speed or worse...can't even understand it!

That'd be great, but I'm afraid it would get OVERUSED everyday. I only "whip it out" on special occasions as this. :p
Gadmus126
It's happening to me too
Valve
Mines doing it sporadically as well.

I thought it was just me.
onyxgeo
same thing happening here

guess I misunderstood. The online streaming should be consistent but I bet it breaks up when there are too many users connected. Remember this is a beta test so they haven't fixed all the bugs yet. I bet there are way too many people connected with the bandwidth they have. But as they get more bandwidth it should get better. They probably set it up for a small number of users and as they see more are listening they add more channels.
It should get better in time.
But here, in Toronto I have not listened enough online to give an opinion on the streaming audio.

This is the ferry from Rochester, NY to Toronto....
LongShoreman
Yes, mine is constantly.
coxman
Yes. Every now and then that is. Not all the time.

I was just thinking it could also be a setting in Windows Media player, but I don't know enough about those settings. I remember ages ago I did some tweaking in windows media player.
You might look into that.
You can post questions about such things at these 2 sites.

If your stream is stopping and starting, it's a good idea to get a prostate exam.

Again, fooled by the title of the thread. You people are very clever. Was actually kinda looking forward to this discussion cause surprisingly sometimes my stream shoots to the side, completely missing the toilet.

Are you using the Yahoo Widget? I haven't tried the sirius site. I have no problem with the sirius widget.

Yesterday was the first time it happened to me. It was like words were being bleeped out. It got to the point, I stopped trying to listen.

It's too bad some people have so little compassion. This thread might be doing Sirius a favor by alerting them to th extent of the problem.

Yes, that is my point! It happened today again as well.
cocksmacker
Mine does it all the time too. Plus, I get that "Are you still listening" pop up box, coming up 5,000,000,000,000,000 times in about 5 minutes. After I finally get through it all by playing Space Invaders with it, it goes away for the day, and never comes back.
jdbnyc
It's happening to me too. It's not your bandwith. They probably are doing something.

Just glad to hear any of the show online.

Well, unfortunately, some folks get downright myopic in their pursuit of what they think passes for wit.

did you try putting some tin foil on the antenna?

With all due respect, are you illiterate?

The on-line stream has been blotchy for some of us.
TIJUANA1
Sirius needs to upgrade their flux capacitor.
Sager
Mine started cutting out from time to time this week. Never did that before.
