greed killed howard tv... they are just taking the money and running. no new programming, tons of repeats. howard should be ashamed of howard tv... whoever runs it sucks.
sternowitz
Unfortunately, I can't get howard TV so I can't comment whether it sucks or not, but I hear a lot of people trying to plug it. I even heard howard get mad at shuli for posting his cell phone picks on SFN and not on Howard TV. I disagree with him on this, everything doesn't have to be a commodity.
Sirius_Sam22
Give it time. I still have yet to see any fucking programs with Billy West but HTV seems ok.

just put it on Directv for fuck's sake.
it's not that hard.

Your threads are killing SFN. Take it up with your cable company for not adding new episodes. What the hell do you want us to do about it?
rayfer99
when it was new there was always new programming. think of all the old guests that would be great. nobody is even putting any effort into it now. it just sits there like a pile of forgotten dung while people keep getting billed. i think howard is greedy as hell for this. all this cash from all these sources and howard tv is a complete ripoff.

I tend to agree. I loved it at first, but now I've seen all the episodes. Hopefully they won't take any vacations for a while and there will be lots 'o new shows.

There are tons of old E! shows I'd like to see. Howard did a photo shoot with his Polaroid camera once of this hot MILF. Can't remember her name, but I'd love to see her un-pixelated.

maybe not, but they do have pay-per-view. from what i can tell, it's not that different, especially seeing as how every cable market has different shows.

i can't give up Sunday Ticket.

talisman1003
definitely can say that i am disapointed with HowardTV, and I am considering cancelling because its a horribly run service. The shows aren't added when they should be. Howard says something will be on there and its not. There are only a couple new shows per week. Really sick of going through the categories and not finding new shows. They put up crappy Film Fest videos that are retarded and unwatchable when they have literally thousands of old E Shows they could put.

I am totally satisfied with Sirius. I have two subscriptions and its the greatest bargain in entertainment today. I wouldn't do without it.

But HowardTV is the opposite. They need to make some agressive changes or they aren't going to hold on to subscribers.

I'm not complaining, just being honest.
rayfer99
THERE ARE TONS OF E SHOWS.. think of all the great guests over the years. i could care less for the porn crap, you can see that all day long for free. i want to see all the old interviews with celebs etc.... howard is such an independent thinker and that got him where he is. so many fans are just lap dogs and accept anything he does. they all defend his 500 million while they themselves work for $10 an hour and keep lining his pockets. he deserves it if HE PRODUCES, he dropped the ball on howard ripoff tv
rayfer99
i agree. sirius is well worth it. i dont listen to bubba or ferrel but the stern shows and music make it worth it. TAKE OFF THOSE CRAPPY FILM FESTIVAL FILLERS......
Yetichi
maybe they are pissed off because you don't even need to pay for it when you can download it for free like that other guy said.
Lenco20
Even if I wanted to cancel I can't because Comcast bills you for a whole year of Howard TV all at once, so mine is paid for a while.

Its a different system. The PPV signal is constantly broadcast and scheduled. The signal is coming to your TV whether you are watching it or not. When you agree to pay for it they just send a signal to your box that opens up the electronic gate in your receiver to allow it to come thru to your TV. If you want a PPV movie you have to agree to watch what they are offering at the time they are offering it. And if somone shows up at your door and starts yammering at you and you dont see how it ends your screwed. OnDemand is differnet. You can start any program at any time of the day or night, watch as much or as little as you want and change back and forth between different shows at will.

if cable is so fucking great, how come they don't have NFL Sunday Ticket?

HowardTV has had BillyWest on, when the Jackie Puppet was first given to Howard.
Also, HowardTV content is updated by the individual cable systems when new content is made available, just as ONDEMAND Channel content.

Add me to the list of those disappointed in Howard TV. It is not up to Howards normal high standards. This lack of new programming is causing me to consider cancelling. The constant on air blaming of the different cable providers is simply a copout. If Howard cares about his audience as much as he says he does, (and I do believe he does), he should either force the cable providers to update in a timely manner or pull the programming from them completely. I just think he has so much on his plate right now that Howard TV isn't getting the attention it deserves. Howard needs to take charge and make sure things get done, or role some heads if things don't get done. Right now, regarding Howard TV, things are not getting done.
WillowGlen

Because the NFL has an exclusive deal signed with Direct TV for the Sunday Ticket package and the cable channels are run by the networks.

Sorry, sugar...that made me chuckle.

I too am a little dissatisfied with Howard TV. Although on my service, I always have the shows that Howard says are up. That hasn't been a problem. I get annoyed though that it takes so long for the really good stuff to come on like the Artie Roast/Artie Roast Mayhem...and god only knows when we're going to see the Artie/Dice fight.

I'm also annoyed that we can't see the musical performances. Even though I'm not a huge fan of Train or the Dixie Chicks or Trent Tomlinson, I was looking forward to watching them perform, and then I get shafted after sitting through the interview I've already heard numerous times on the replays before I finally realize the performance has been edited out.

Hopefully things will change. :(

Howardtv, just like the Howard Stern Radio show, don't have enough employees. Sirius made The Stern shows budget is so small becuase they had to pay Howard so much that they can't afford it. Thats why its going to take them 6 monthes to put out any "classic stern". Thats also why the show would never hire anybody like boots unless it was in a creative type role, because they need to get the most "bang for their buck" when it comes to production. I don't think the indemend show has anything to do with sirius, but maybe it does, that would explain them being shorthanded too. Before you fucks start flaming away at me, i'm not complaining about howard making too much money, just telling it like it is.

I just resubscribed since the jesus twins thing was put up (although Doug G said it would be up LAST friday!)....there are a few things that I just want to address that this channel NEEDS

- Better Category names/discriptions - What the fuck does "From the Vault" mean??? Wacky and Weird??? Those titles show no creativity and do NOT indicate what is in them (ie Jesus Twins in Wacky and Weird...gee I would think a show from 1996ish would be "From the Vault" or better yet name a category for the E! shows "E! Shows").

- An online video stream for a lower or same price - this is so I can stop reading "Is it coming to Satellite?"

- A TV host (Joey Boots?) and narration intro (Sulu?) to each show or group of uploads - How many times have you put an episode on only to find that something even better is in the last 20 minutes that wasn't in the description? I can think of 3 or 4.

- An email sent to everyone who subscribes to notify about new shows - I don't WANT to go to Howard.tv to check EVER - I am paying money to YOU! do some work! - You can create this newsletter with ads in it as well for more $$$.

- Have a contest roping in the Channel with the show - give away fucking ribs or breast implants - anything, so we know you are doing something.

Do anything creative - please do SOMETHING since what you are doing right now is NOT working and I will cancel AGAIN at the end of the month if it is the same as 2 months ago.

Howard (although he will never see this) - I would happily design, program and email this newsletter from my home for free. I would love to help make HTV as good as the Sirius shows.

I agree! Like I said in the artie/dice fight. I think it's the ssdd! I think the best thing to do is pay every other month. You will save $90 and you wont miss a thing. Nothing seems to change and does anyone give a crap about Gary's dog? I didn't know we were paying $15 a month for a video of Gary's dog or Richards family going to NY or the freakn film festival that has been on for three months! Come on we need more videos of funny stuff that happens on the show. If they put SEX and COMEDY up DAILY then the only people bitching about HTV would be the people that have satellite and can't get it! Just a thought but who am I, oh yeah the dumb ass paying for this crap!!
HeyNowBigFan
Perhaps this is what Doug wanted to vent to Howard about. I certainly hope so. It's really frustrating to go looking for new shows and find absolutely nothing or some lame ass show like LaToya Jackson. Who cares? Isn't she dead by now? Gange must be picking which old E shows should go up on HTV. Howard should have fired him for the porno tape that went to Emily's teacher. Now look what we have to deal with!!

the rotation of material could be a bit more swift, but overall I'm satisfied with the channel
fburglee
If you ever looked at your regular On Demand channels, they don't rotate programming every day. Usually, they change it up once a month or so. I think Howard TV is running things kind of that way.

If I had to complain about it, it would be how long it takes things to make it on there. Perfect example is the Artie Roast. Doug G said it was delayed so they could make a production out of the backstage antics. Turns out all that really involved was Richard soiling the facility.

And don't get me started on the douche in the hall doing pre- and post-interviews.......
Astro7x
Dish Network DOES offer Video On Demand, but it's not true VOD that your cable company has. It's very slow, because the way it works is that basically there is a hidden VOD channel that records programming secretly to the built in hard drive (In Real Time). When the show is recorded, it then gives you the option to buy it and view it instantly. Personally, I'd rather just record a PPV with my DVR, and then watch it as many times as I want.

It's the 625 model receiver if anyone wants to look into it. But the slowness of it means we'll never get subscription services like Howard TV or WWE 24/7. Then again, I'd still pay money for a channel with programming running on it 24/7 and Tivo the stuff.
MAGUSofHELLVIEW
bitching will get you no where but banned here....... many of us have been complaining for over 6 months.... and very few of us survived because we got narced on and Boots banned a bunch of people.

they say they are listening to us, but they still put up shit episodes
conspire
I had to cancel. I paid for a year, but I will get money towards my cable bill. I love the idea, but 15 a month is steep for repeat episodes. I think that if Howard REALLY knew how upset the subscribers are, he'd make a change. It's obvious that everyone that works for him tells him that people love it. I wish it was a few bucks cheaper and more frequently updated.

The channel has been on since November 2005. How much time do they need to get there shit together? Personally for me the channel was good for the first 2 months that I had it, and after that it seems like hardly anything new and tons of repeats (just moving them into different categories). Additionally, a lot of the new shows are really not worth seeing if you already heard the show on Sirius(eg., Wilmer Valderama-did the visual really make it worthwhile?). Something that you need to see the visual has to happen on the show in order for it to be worthy of TV (eg., Miss Howard Stern meets Trent Tomlinson). If you have the choice of having Sirius radio or Howard TV, go with Sirius.
SteelRat
There have been at least three episodes featuring Billy West - Jackie Puppet Introduced, Takei vs. Takei Jr., and Conan vs. Jackie Puppet. Remember that Billy left the show not long after the E! show started, and he wasn't even in studio every day.

I don't know how you figure that because they change all the on demand's once a week. check their websites! Also I am not paying $15 a month for the other on demands. My only point is that film festival is old and needs to be replaced with 10 hours of new stuff. I don't care about gary's dog or robin on her boat. I want to see sex, fights, and comedy. That is what I thought I would get with htv but besides bubba shockn the balls/puss there hasn't been a whole lot worth $15 a month. I am going to get it every other month and save $90. By the way Artie/Dice fight still not on. Thanks for nothing HTV!

Why the fuck is the film festival shit still up there? If you are a fan and haven't watched that yet then too bad. Take it down and put up new shit. and the week in reviews are a waste of time too. Doug needs to get on the ball. I'm thinking of canceling
Cellardoor
I have to agree with Flabo. Howard will not even mention Howard TV. Well, actually he does but only when he is pluggiing what is going to air the NEXT month and he'll throw in a FEW new shows worth watching on THIS month which is half of the shows he promised the LAST month.

Its fucking frustrating to hear whats going to air next month and its not even air. I was very excited about the 'Sal pranks Yucko' video. Took a whopping 3 months to get a 5 minute prank on Howard TV, great job guys. They sure do work really hard to get those crap shows up really fast though, and they rub in all that hard work by leaving the show up for 5 months. And the shows that we really want to watch, AKA Artie and Dice...wont be on until next month..which verifies my first paragraph all over again. He'll plug the 'Artie and Dice show', then promise a few more shows, but will not deliver. About to cancel.

I'm just venting...sorry.
Astro7x
Seems like they don't have a dedicated person doing the TV stuff.

Throwing on Intros, Outros/credits and Name Keys is not THAT hard to do, but I can only imagine it's not a top priority if people with other jobs are doing it.
sternowitz
Someone mentioned above that the cable company bills you for an entire year of programming. I can't believe cable compannies do that. I am not talking about Howard TV, but any station you have to pay upfront for a year could spell trouble. If MTV billed you for a years worth of programming, do you think they would consistently try to improve their programming on a daily basis or just at the end of the year when it is time to renew. Do all cable companies bill Howard TV and other channels in yearly increments.

I would like to know how many employees are HTV employees only and what the HTV budget is. There's Doug Goodstein, Scott Depace, Jason Kaplan, Mike Gange, Brian Phalan, and the short , bald jewish kid who's name escapes me. It has the look and feel of a cable access channel. The production and editing are awful. "special episodes" like "Siobhan and John" take over a month to make it on air. J.D. in Hedenism is supposedly going to air on Aug. 9 and it's only going to be 15 minutes! How much money was wasted sending the entire crew to Jamaica for a paid vacation with minimal content. They should have all been depixilating old "E" shows. I hope we get another "score's opening" episode soon it's been at least a week. Nothing better than watching a brain dead limo driving wanna be body guard yell at strippers who get to pretend they think he's funny. Does anyone else need to watch any more rejected film festival entries? The winning entries were nearly unwatchable.

I agree, I am so angry! It has gotten slower and slower over time. They have put one episode up all week and it's that aweful Meatloaf show! WTF?!?!

Two weeks ago we were lucky to get an update, ONE update every 24 hours, last week ONE update every two days and now, nothing.

I paid a year in advance, this is very aggrevating. They don't care and they certainly don't read their e-mail.

Howard ask them for the fans and our answer is that well, Doug is running it or whatever, oh whatever! It's bad enough all the shows were boring last week except Thursday, Howard TV should make up for it. We're all getting ripped off and they are making great money doing it.

(Re-editing all the shows... my ass)

I have been saying that for three weeks now! Thank you! I also don't need to watch gary playing with his dog and robin buying a boat. I am canceling next month. I am going to try bubba raw for a month. Bubba has chicks on video and not video of richard and a stupid game.

Honestly I enjoyed watching Gary and his dog posing for the Humane Society calendar and if I come across it, I'll buy it. There's plenty of room on there for other stuff though. Just because those small videos are on Howard TV, it doesn't mean they can't add anything else. Luckily for all of us, the Film Festival is now on Last Chance (there is a God!)

They've posted the Shocking the balls and puss three times I believe. Once on the daily and twice back to back with one day off between them under Wacky and Weird or whatever. The Yucko the Clown prank was whack and built up for no reason. Another common rerun on Howard TV is Gary/Scott fight.

I'm also looking into getting Bubba Raw just to see if it's worth it. The previews show a very clear crisp picture which is unique so it might be worth it if they show more footage.
Dragonblink
I dont think howard tv is worth the 14 bucks a month.More like $3.Because if you compare with lets say,HBO,they have a on demand channel as well as their 7 regular movie channels for only 10 bucks.I dont think its updated as often as HOD,but it has loads of movies and shows that are "GOOD".But on hOD,all you get is bullshit shows which are rarely updated that I dont wanna see anyway.Sure its updated a "Little" more than HBO.but Its just not worth it,I had a better time watching Howard stern for free on E!
