Nothing new, everyone knows it - but I had to give props to the technology of today and the best company to bring it to me.
Drove from the Adirondack mts of New York to Ocean City, MD today for vacation, had Octane on the whole way !!! No loosing stations, no static, nothing !!!

| Ate at Phillips the other night - was awesome - plus had to get the 20 oz beer so I could get the glass to take home !!! Also ate at Bull on the Beach, the one on Rt 50 heading towards the bridge into Ocean City, that was great too. Thanks for the tip NOTRALPH. |

Lexus puts Sirius Factory Receiver and "Fit Kits" on hold
There is apparently some sort of hold on the Factory Sirius receivers and "Fit Kits" for Lexus vehicles. A while ago, Toyota signed some sort of agreement (non-exclusive agreement) with XM but has yet to ink anything with Sirius. XM apparently has a deal with Lexus for all "Factory Installed", while in the past Sirius had a "Dealer/Port Installed" option. But the latter appears to have been stopped for unknown reasons.
Those of you who are fans of Sirius (& Lexus), I urge you to call Lexus Customer Service and ask them where your Sirius is. Lexus must understand there is a fan base for Sirius and this is a dis-service to their customers.
I can't make my own threads, so if someone doesn't mind, please create a new thread for this. I believe it deserves the attention.

| I agree, Sirius is the shit!! If u have a newer GM vehicle buy the SIRGM1 for your vehicle. This product allows u to remove your XM brains and replace them with Sirius brains. Even if u didnt waste money on XM, u can still sometimes use this product as many of the newer GM vehicles are "satellite ready". Once installed, it looks very clean, no wires and u control it with your "band" button which scrolls through AM/FM/CD etc. |

Yes,it does deserve alot of attention.I just bought a GS300 last week and the dealer had all the flyers around the place touting Sirius and all that.(Funny thing no mention of Howard until the last page of the Brochure).
But when I checked of my car had it already,I got 4 excuses from two different people.
1.it is not in the car at the time of the sale.....fine can I get it now?
2.cost is $950 installed....I said fine,do it.
3.no sure if they have it in stock...I said order it,I will wait.
4.it is soo new to this dealer,they don't know how to sell it...WTF?!?!
this is unacceptable for Lexus or any dealer to put a customer through the run around,so I just took my XTR2CK from my trade and mounted it inside,but I want a factory set up for this car,so I will contact Lexus customer service and see what the fuck can be done.... |
