What should we discuss this week?
Boots, Lori, Grillo + a show veteran who hasn't been on in awhile.
Our quickie is Dave, the new guy who's heading up the tapes. I'm sure everyone will have plenty of questions for him, how he got hired, what exactly are his duties, what are his plans, etc.
SEPTEMBER 11th ANNIVERSARY
- Howard has his tapes and would like to do something special for the 5 year September 11th anniversary. He is considering playing back the original show uncut but they have several ideas on how to handle it. What do you think they should? OUR POLL- Take the day off & play the 911 show uncut
- Do a live show & play 911 clips
- Do a live show & afterwards, play the whole 911 show uncut.
- Do a live show & afterwards, play a 2hr 911 special with all the highlights.
- Play the 911 show uncut on H101 & do a live show on H100. Howard could flip over to 101 during the show & play clips.
- Just do a regular show. There's no need to replay the original show.
- Play the 911 Show and comment over it like the DVD director's commentary. They'd turn the volume down when they speak and turn it back up a moments we don't want to miss.
- Play the 911 show uncut & do a live reflection show afterwards
- Should they have Cabbie & Joey Boots in studio to re-live what they went through?
WILL WORK FOR HOWARD
- Why have all the wack packers decided to hit Howard up for a job now? Would it be good for the show if these guys were given jobs?
- What kind of job could Sirius offer Jeff the Drunk and should they even consider it? Will he fuck up Artie's generos offer?
- Will Nicole take one of the jobs she was offered or is she just looking for a spot with Howard?
- Is Riley insane, greedy, or does he have a valid gripe? Did he negotiate himself out of a job?
- Almost all the wackpacker have stuck their hand
out to Howard. Where's Beetlejuice been? If anyone ever deserved a show, it's him.
HOW DO YOU GET TO CARNEGIE HALL?
- Evidently by sleeping through your meeting with Peter Lagori the head of FOX TV.
- Artie headlines Carnegie Hall November 9th and has full control. Who should open & host? LINK
- Artie offers all the misfits a job. Will this come back to bite him in the ass?
ROBIN THE THRILL SEEKER
- It's been another weekend at the beach and another boating mishap for Robin. First she ran her SeaRay into some of her neighbors' docks & boats and now she ran her SeaDoo jet boat up onto a sandbar and left it there over night. Does she need more practice or is she drinking out on the boat?
- Robin picked up a new Z06 Corvette and is taking racing lessons. She's challenged Bubba to a race and he's accepted.
RAPID FIRE Beth's masseuse was rubbing her vag but she said she was in such a relaxed state she didn't realize. Is there any way she didn't realize & did she get the happy ending?

he didn't get a 1.1. You go into a coma/die at .4. He got a .11 which isn't as high as you think. It's illegal to drive but it's something you've all probably been at. Guessing Jeff's weight at 180lbs, a .11% BAC is about a 6 pack in an hour or 8 beers in 3 hours.

Since when is $300/hr a pittance. Or as Riley said a pitiance. Did I miss the memo? What is a fair wage for a 1 hour radio show twice a month?
If Riley's worth more than that then what should Levy and Florentine be paid for miserable men. A vastly superior show. IMHO |

Hey Mutt.
I know it must be way expensive, but maybe bring up how Howard TV can't show musical performances and how that effects the quality of an episode with musical acts (such as the Dixie Chicks).
Also, how come Howard TV rarely (if at all) captures Fred's sound effects? I know we hear them some of the time. I'm guessing it's because some of the clips are from movies (such as Napoleon Dynamite drops for JD)?
Either way, maybe Sirius should look into paying for these rights.

Mutt, here are some of the things I'd like to hear you guys discuss...
(I love the idea others have posted about the "Hire me Howard" phenomenon and Riley's asking price)
-Callers -- I remember a time when any caller that would get through to the show who didn't have their shit together was hung up on or goofed on. I know many of us are sick of the "Just got Sirius...told all my friends...love the show...keep on keepin' on...I laugh so hard I have to pull over" phone calls. I remember if a caller even said "Is this Howard?", he'd go into a tirade and hang up on them. I miss this Howard.
-Preview Pages -- Here's the scenario: Howard brings up some random bit that he wants to play and of course, he can't find it. Gary chimes in, "Gary Preview Page 2 in Pink." Gary should be ready for this because it happens every morning. Why not create a "Howard: On Air" page where Gary can simply drag and drop files for Howard without having to say a word? They are obviously networked there and they should have a "hot" folder where any of the show's producers can drop files for Howard.
-The Tapes -- I remember last year hearing Howard complain that CBS was going through old shows and re-editing the tapes to eliminate indecent material. If this were true, are those bits cut-up and lost forever or was Howard just exagerating? |

| The show should commemorate the anniversary by playing excerpts from the 9/11/01 broadcast. Now that we have 5 years perspective from the attack, it would be interesting to see how this has affected the different show members. Remember, Sal and Richard didn't even work on the show then. Was Sal in the Financial District that day? What was Richard thinking about this from Kansas, or where ever the hell he was at. Instead of just playing the 9/11/01 show from tape, I'd like a "live" show that morning. |

They should do the 9/11 show uncut, uninterrupted. Then the crew should come on who were there that morning and talk about what was going on. Howard and Gary would do a great job with discussions.

| I think the topic of what Howard can or cannot say on the show due to the settlement is fascinating. For instance, today when talking about O&A doing Letterman he mentioned Les without naming him "the head guy I can't name" or something like that. It really sucks that he can't rag on CBS like he used to. |
