| I've never really heard XM, so I don't know what it would bring to Sirius if they combined. From what I have heard of XM, the music stations suck. But getting baseball would be nice....Go Astros! :D |

The only real benefits would be the subs, the signal, and the lack of a national competitor.
I would be for it, but ONLY if it is Sirius buying out XM and not Xm buying sirius, or equal. The board would drive HOWARD insane and he would definately quit after this contract. |

Not really... there is a substantial pressence of terrestrial radio that makes it NOT a monopoly.
Before you draw a link to Satellite TV, remember this. Sat TV's Marketshare would have been huge had they combined, Sat Radio's will still be considerably small if they merge. The biggest issue is that Sat TV was a merger of service providers, not content creators. They provide the medium to bring you another company's product. Radio has it's own product to deliver, dependent on the provider.
Not to mention the clear competition and marketshare of ClearChanel CBSRadio ect...
They are National radio firms, and they have higher numbers than XM and Sirius combined. |

| My cousin who lives in Phoenix got XM; she went with XM instead of Sirius because of baseball. She can get all of her Dback games on local radio. What the hell is the attraction here, unless you are a Yankee fan living in Iowa. |
