I have been with Sirius since August of 2005...do I need to do anything after my first year...or will they just keep billing me monthly...I don't want to wake up one morning and see that I don't have service.

Go to your account by logging on here: https://home.sirius.com/webCUWI/ManageAccount.aspx and check status. If your credit card is still active, Sirius will bill you automatically. If not, they will email you and / or call you.
