Tonights guests are Joey Boots, Lori, Grillo, & Otto. Join us tonight. First we'll discuss how the fans would like to see the September 11th 5 year anniversary handled. Then we'll get to talk to the new curator of the tapes and we'll finish up the show with America's next wackpacker, Bigfoot.
1. SEPTEMBER 11th ANNIVERSARY
- Howard has his tapes and he would like to do something special for the 5 year September 11th anniversary. It was an emotional day but the Stern Show helped so many of us get through it. Were you listening that day and what did it mean to you?
- Here are some of the ideas I’ve heard on how to handle the anniversary. How do you guys feel this day should be remembered? LINK TO OUR POLL
- Take the day off & play the 911 show uncut
- Play the 911 show uncut & do a live reflection show afterwards.
- Play the 911 Show and comment over it like the DVD director's commentary. They'd turn the volume down when they speak and turn it back up at moments we don't want to miss.
- Do a live show on H100 and the 911 show uncut on H101. Howard could flip over to 101 during the show to play clips & comment.
- Do a live show & play 911 clips
- Do a live show & afterwards, play the whole 911 show uncut.
- Do a live show & afterwards, play a 2hr 911 special with all the highlights.
- Just do a regular show. There's no need to replay the original show.
- How should they handle the replays?
- Should they have Cabbie & Joey Boots in studio to re-live what they went through that day? Who else should be there?
2. HIT THE PHONES
- Finish the segment with phone calls
BREAK
3. QUICKIE: 5 Minute interview with Dave, the curator of the tapes
4. NAMING AMERICA'S NEXT WACKPACKER
- GoldenPalace.net gave $5000 to the winner of the America’s Next Wackpacker contest today and now he needs a nick name. We already had a Bigfoot and it just doesn’t seem right to let someone else use the same name. After wrestling over names, Howard & Robin decided to leave it up to the fans. Let’s name em all. | i totally missed the 9/11 show when it happened i was working. i just know when someone told me about it, i just totally couldn't believe it. i just got out of the military 7 months earlier, but i was never recalled. i love the show, but i'm not sure if i even want to hear it. it's just eery. i'm not saying we should forget that day, but it would be weird to hear it. |

I was listening. Turned on the CNN right away, but continued listening the Howard the whole time. Fucking sad seeing all that! :( Still hard to believe sometimes. |
