Nice segment switching. Would have definitely liked to hear more from the tape curator about his plans.
Namely, when Howard takes a couple of days off in November (Thanksgiving), will they do specific segments / topics? For instance, two hours of Richard Simmons, then Gilbert, etc?
Also - what's the attitude about full shows? Gary gave the impression that they DON'T want to air full shows, because they would sound "dated." But Dave the curator said they wanted to air Howard's first day at KROCK, and considering it was 20 years ago, that's a contradiction.
Also - what is the rotation going to be like for Best Of stuff? I mean, will they choose 4-5 hours of material and just repeat it all-day? |

He was really tight-lipped about everything. He probably wasn't allowed to say too much. |

I don't undertstand the "lockdown" on 23,000 hours of previously-aired material (yeah yeah curses and all).
People just want to know how they intend to air the material.
I would prefer whole shows, simply because it's easier to keep track of what year the show is from. Obviously, if Billy West is on, the material is from 1993-94. But if they jump from 1 hour of 1994 to something from 1988, they need to do bumpers to explain away the shift.
With whole shows, the bumpers would just say, "Howard Stern - May 14, 1994," and then Paul Turner (or Gary or Fred) explaining the context of "when we last left the show..." |

just play the whole damn show who cares if theyre "dated" theyre being played for etnertainment and nostalgic reasons,i want to hear odl news or teh crew whe nthey first saw an episdoe of seinfeld and gae there opinions on it and how they thought the hshow was gonan do..
if youre worried about being dated then you might as well edit every comment out on a tape that makes it seem dated and not like it could be from yestereday..
