I have the S50 in my car and a docking station at home too. I need better antenna reception and was thinking of getting a permanent one. Anyone have this?
Do you recommend the Outdoor home antenna?
Stupid question but it just comes into the house like cable, so have to drill a hole right. I know dumb question. |

Yes, I strongly recommend an outdoor antenna like this one for the home: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-mRsN9j...w.asp?i=209SIR6
You will never have reception problems with this setup. And yes, you need to drill a hole and seal it with caulk to bring the cable into your house near the area where you're placing the home dock.
Make sure you place the outdoor antenna as high as possible(close to or on the roof) with an unobstructed path to the South Dakota skies, i.e. face it towards South Dakota. You'll get flawless reception. Good luck. |

| I just use the one that came with the home kit. Been up for almost 2 years rain, heat and all. I slapped it up on the roof and is still worken fine. |

I use the one that came with my home kit form Best Buy. I zip tied it to my gutter with no trees or wires above. I drilled but didn't bother to caulk cause I rent.
Don't try to run it through a window, if it drops you'll cut the cable. (Don't ask, just see my other thread on it) |
