I am looking at either the starmate replay or the older sportster replay. Does anyone have the new Sportster 4?
Can anyone recommend a radio with a nice LCD screen that you can see when their is a sun glare. My Xtr1 worked fine at night like any other radio, but during the day it sucked.
Thanks |

I have the new Sportster 4 and it's very nice. I strongly recommend it. The only thing to be aware of is that the new receivers have the built-in FM transmitter output power reduced as a result of an FCC investigation which determined that both Sirius and XM radios where out of spec, requiring them to stop their production lines until they reduced the power. So for best results without outside FM interference you need to install either the Wired FM modulator($20) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...d=1117177049245
It's easy to install and will eliminate any interference from local FM stations. Or, you need to hardwire the Sirius receiver to your headunit. Just to be clear, you can still use the built-in FM transmitter with the new receivers, but you MAY get interference from local stations if you live in a big city. Good luck. |
