you are correct cro cop is a HW and it was an Open weight tourny, but did you know silva came in 4 pounds heavier then cro-cop for this fight. Cro cop is also a (light) heaveyweight meaning he is only a shade over 210 Chuck easily walkes around at 230 when not fighting. so it isnt unrealistic for chuck to fight cro cop at heavyweight. |

| chuck is good but MOST ALL PRIDE fighters(within 10lbs) would beat the shit out of him....the UFC is waaaay too limited as far as competition. i watched chuck scream like a bitch when he his ass got handed to him by Sliva in pride...they threw in the towel. |

Hey fuckhead, Rampage isn't even with PRIDE anymore b/c he was getting destroyed by the top guys in his weightclass - Wanderlai Silva and Mauricio Rua. As for Chuck, he is a great fighter and the reason we want to see him fight a top PRIDE fighter is because we love great fights, clearly there isn't much depth in the UFC in the lightheavyweight division. PRIDE fights are generally more violent and entertaining, which is sort of the point of watching that stuff - so calling out PRIDE fans really doesn't make much sense does it? Sort of like saying you like Howard and Bubba better on terrestrial radio rather than satellite. |

| i have to agree.. chuck is a good fighter.. in the UFC, but 9 out 10 guys in PRIDE wether its middle wieght, light heavywieght would wipe the floor w/liddel.. he might have "heavy hands" but the class of fighters in pride is beyond anyone in ufc.. people have already brought this up, chuck got his ass pounded by rampage jackson, who got his ass beat on a regular basis in pride.. also all this talk was around vanderlia silva coming to ufc to fight chuck after this ufc 62.. what ever happened to that?? personally i think dana white knows chuck is ufc's biggest name, and it wouldnt look good for a guy a lot of people in america dont know coming in and whipping his golden boys ass.. but i would still pay the $40 to watch it on PPV |

yep true, however watching the PRIDE PPV they said that Dana White had called Wanderlei out for a fight against chuck in November, Maybe it was Wanderlei entering the PRIDE open weight grand prix (in place of injured Fedor) tht delayed they Liddell Silva fight.
And i think Dana White will now jump at the chance to put them in the ring, now that Silva has just been destroyed with the worst beating and knockout of his career. This might be the best chance Liddell will ever have to beat Silva.
I also think Chuck is a good fighter, but like others have said, PRIDE is on a whole other level,
I mean just compare PRIDE final conflict to the last UFC event, PRIDE has so many great fights on ther fight card, with the best fighters in the world.
UFC 62 was boring as fuck, lots of nobodies in boring meaningless fights and only 1 decent bout on the fight card,,,, Liddel
I think the UFC is goig to have to have a major overhaul or All there fans will migrate to PRIDE now that PRIDE is coming into the American market and the first ever PRIDE event in America will be next month, after all they are mma fans not just UFC fans, And for the people who dont know any better, who have only ever seen the UFC and not PRIDE ,
then man they are in for a treat and will never go back to UFC when they get a taste of what PRIDE is all about |
