I have it for the Xbox and it's pretty cool... it actually works fairly well even on the road courses... :hw: |

If only the scumbags at EA would lose the exclusive liscence and someone that wasn't a million times more concerned with putting out a football game would get it... I'm really getting tired of not being able to race with real sponsors... if kids can see a Budwieser car on Sunday why can't they race it the rest of the week...
EA talks all this shit about the vast improvements in player control and realism in Madden every year yet they can't even ship NASCAR games that function properly...
In addition I must have seen 500 Madden '07 commercials a day for the two months leading up to its release... yet the first time I saw a commercial for NASCAR '07 was the day before its release... and I haven't seen one since... |

Not really... it's pretty much the same format as last years... I don't know if it's just me but the overall look of the game actually seems a year behind '06... but if you want somewhat updated drivers aside from Mayfield and Sadler I suppose it's worthwhile... I haven't progressed far enough to see if it still has the same hokey sponsors in the career mode... so I suppose I'll see if my opinion changes as move through the series... |

Im assuming Madden is EA's bread and butter - hence the heavy push. You got college kids, high school kids, etc everywhere waiting for the next Madden, i dont think the demand is that high for Nascar '07 . . . It's just simple economics to EA - why promote an inferior product - it'd be like putting money into a heavy marketing campaig for Opie and Anthony. . .

I agree that Madden is the EA titan... however if they want to put no effort into NASCAR why not relinquish the liscence to another company that would promote it and put the effort into that that NASCAR fans deserve...
I don't buy Madden because I hate the guy... the last football game I bought was the $19.99 ESPN Football... Fuck Madden... and fuck Electronic Arts for putting a new box around last years game... |

As a follow-up to my last post, I think "inferior product" wasn't the phrase I was looking for.
Also - they probably hold on to the license cause they know someone else would take it, do a great job on it and probably bury them - Im sure there are a shitload of people (Im not one of them, so that's why Im assuming) who would def. rush out to pick up a true-to-life NASCAR simulation.
By keep the NASCAR license as long as they can EA is almost doing everything possible to squash the competition.
