NATIONWIDE OPENING
- Beer League is going nationwide on September 29th. Do they have enough time to promote it?
- How does this effect the show? Artie?
- Will it be successful across the country?
- Were the fans mislead to believe that 1 million was the number for BeerLeague? It fell far short and still got picked up. Alot of people wasted money on tickets and didn't even attend to help the cause. I have emails from over 100 people with tickets attached and many of them bought multiple tickets. Would suck if it was all for nothing.
RESPECT
- Robin was feeling a little jealous and felt she's not getting the respect she deserves. Is she vitol to the show's success and equally deserving of the credit?
- Is she a co-host or sidekick?
- Is Sal out of line or is Howard giving her too much credit?
- She said she didn't mean that she felt she's owed credit for the show being successful but instead meant it like you'd be jealous of when you see any big celbrity doing insanely well. Is this what she emant or was she back peddling?
HERE'S THE DEAL
- Robin had her first racing lesson at Pocono and is raring to go. If they sold tickets, would you head out to Pocono for the race?
- Bubba is crying shenanigans and is hiring Home Depot #20's pit boss to go over the cars and make sure it's square. Do you think they rig it just to bust Bubba's balls?
- Bubba says he wants to shove the trophy up Robin's deal but Robin says it will be her trophy and she'll be the one doing the shovin. With equal cars, does she stand a chance?

- CNBC's Melissa Francisis picked up the story. NY Post's John Manelli wrote a new article claiming Howard is unhappy and returning to terrestrial radio.
- Comscore.com says that HowardStern.com is the busiest radio personality website and traffic has not dropped off. Don & Mike, Rush Limbaugh, O&A, Bill O’Riley
- Alexia.com confirms the Comscore numbers. HowardStern.com had a huge spike in traffic in January but his traffic is back down to where it was when he was on FM.
- Google Trends shows that people are still searching for Howard Stern as much as always and Sirius searches are higher than ever. It also shows that more people are searching for Sirius & Howard than XM or any other DJ.
- Why must they try to smear Howard? What can Howard & Sirius do about it?

More Sybian- I think it helps make the show best then it was on testical radio. So more is good.
Less Creepy Sal- We all know what he did, it's in the past, let's move on. He seem genuine in getting himself help and that deserves some air time, but only to praise him in making a smart first step.
Less Artie/Dana- It seems that it is OFFICALLY over and although I love hearing about it, Artie needs to not be reminded of her so he can move on and we can get him to open up about his new 'relationships', if he has any in the future.
Explain a little more about the bitter half. I know for me personally, it was talked about a while ago and I need a little refresher of what it is. I know Howard talked about it a little bit today, but I'm not able to listen at work, so I'm at a HUGE disadvantage.

If you do choose Robin as a topic this week, I hope for a balanced point of view. Even though she explained it today, it seems almost no one here mentioned it or heard it. I love Robin, I'm a huge fan so to see so many negative things about her comments today is pretty crap really. IMO
Re-Hashing the Sal thing - Do we have to? I'm more intersted in how he moves forward from last week. His therapy, his family life etc...The apology was classic though.

Ask shuli, I got a really good knowledge of the show. He would call me all the time for the SFRT's that he did in the early days of H100News. the meet n greet/ ferral bash should be discussed, but not at length. you just dont have the time, and for the most part the rest of fandom only cares about the parts that relate to them...like how the events going so well may make more such events in different locales more likely. there were some juicy bits that most fandom might care about, like my egging SPiceboy to show me his cock (after he mooned me at close range) resulted in HPE showing his genitals to whomever was unfortunate enuff to see.
i think Max has a point about Beer League going wide release with less than a million...
i think we will hear something more about Bubba slapping Sal at some point, Howard clearly tabled the issue but his tone left me without any doubt that Howard will be revisiting the issue...the question is if he will do so publicly. n i have alot to say about Robin n Bubba.

Artie did discuss a little why they will be able to go nationwide. I caught 2 things
The numbers across the board were down. this past weekend and the weekend before were the 2 worst of the year.
Some theaters want it to continue to run, while many theaters could care less. they are taking the films from the low theaters and moving the to oher cities.
there were no real numbers given, but it sounds likes this will be a smaller nationwide release with less advertising than planned if they had hit the million

My friend has a big movie opening on the 29th too, the Guardian with Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher. While I personally could care less about this, apparently it has tested better than any other Buena vista movie and they are throwing a lot of money behind it and they are looking for a BIG opening on that weekend (the same weekend Beerleague is slated to go national)
It was originally scheduled to open last weekend, but they didnt want the competition from black dahlia and hollywoodland.

I think it does merit discussing why the number needed to go national became about a third of what was originally stated.
I know Artie said that the reaction was really good and the theatres wanted to keep the movie..but its not like any theatres sold out.
Also, the national date was originally stated as October 6th, why the change?

I think what is in question is the fact that he said 1 million was the cut off.
If it did 750 K or 800 K, I could see it being picked up easily. It did 30% of what it was supposed to do to get picked up .
