| All the old fans that were on the fence may be getting a little too comfortable without howard. I think he needs to show himself in public a little more, even going on some other shows and mixing it up a little. What would really help is if he shit in the middle of main street there in NY...but I doubt anything that over the top will happen. The shopping season is coming up and sticking his head outside the sirius building to reach out to non subscribers would be a good thing to do. I'm buying some siri stock today, it looks to have some potential. Could be a pretty good spike around christmas. |

It would help sales of subscriptions. Howard should be "out there" a little more to remind the vast amount of idiots that are out there who think they are at XM and that both systems are not the same, etc, etc. IT would better dispell the rumor that he was coming back. I really dislike that he continually "preached to the chior" on satelite. He needs to really come out and say to "mainstream " media "I AM STAYING HERE!"
We all know that his rebutal of the rumors got no where near the press that the actual rumor got. I really he needs to come out and repair and fight the shit that the radio industry did to him and Sirius. |

| Oh I get it. You want Howard to do more public appearances so he will sell more radios and Sirius stock will go up and you well make money. Good plan. |

here is another example of what I was saying. This article gives the inference that Howard is going to UK satelite radio.

I don't even own stock in Sirius. I am just making the point that Howard needs to dispel alot of the bullshit that and I am tired of doing my part in educating people. I mean come on really I am sure alot of you subscribers get the "so how do you like XM?" shit while your sitting there with a big ass SIRIUS sticker on your boombox or unit or what have you. I knwo I do nd I have go into the whole fucking Sirius vs XM speal.
Shit, last Christmas I caught my wife trolling the XM website and I asked "what are you doing there?" and she replied "I know you love Howard & I was gonna buy you a satelite radio" I almost shit and man what a cruel christmas joke that would have been unwrapping a box with fucking XM in it. |

And a ton of people that like howard still dont understand the satelite thing. Sirius or xm. The real target should be vehicle radios. The easier you make it for people the more subscriptions we(I'm a stockholder) get. Gm would be a huge win for sirius. |

How Would That Increase The Expected Present Value Of Cash Flows Related To Sirius Equity? |
|
|

Totally agree....Howard constantly talks about how great Sirius is, but the problem is he is talking to subscribers....no need to sell us we already paid. He needs to visit Kimmel, Leno (?) and Letterman. Do another round of interviews etc...
I know Howard is a hard worker, but he does not do enough sellling to the non-listening public. That is a fact and its a shame b/c his shows have been excellent. |

By reaching out to more customers? Each radio that has a current subscription is direct equity. |

Yes. Howard and howards people would know the best route for him to take, but we all agree subscriptions come from non satelite promo's. |

IIRC, GM has an equity stake in XM, and will never offer Sirius as an option. |

I Just Do Not Think The Subscription Radio Business Model Has Very Much Hope For The Long Term. Sirius Either Needs To Adapt Or I Fear It Will Go Extinct. However I Do Think It Has Enough Legs To Get Through At Least The Rest Of Howard's Career. |

I have wondered about the same thing. He should be out there trying to get more people to join. A few appereances outside of New York would help. When he is on mainstream media he wastes his time ranting about dumb articles and does not promote.
I figure he is not out there pushing Sirius because,
1) He is scared because of that insider trading investigation.
2) He's "got his" so he don't give a shit.
Sirius cannot depend on the new cars getting Sirius as their salvation.
By the way I also don't own Sirius stock I just want to see more and more join the Revolution and for Sirius to beat the shit out of XM.

He's mentioned that he's thinking of doing something for the Christmas season. I don't know if it includes those three bastions of broadcasting, but it would be funny as hell. |

As bad as terrestial radio is, all you would have to do is give potential customers a taste of satellite, and they'll never go back. The difference is so stunning.
Don't forget the same thing was said about cable tv. Who's going to pay for what you can get for free? |

| I think it sucks that there seems to be more press about fucking Oprah and she is doing more for a company she hardly does any work on. |

It Is Different Now. With The Information Age Much Farther Along, There Are Infinitely More Ways For Consumers To Spend Their Time And Money Regarding Media. |

I believe that the internet will eventually take over as the dominant source for both entertainment as well as information and news. It is already taking over from tv, just as tv took over from the print medium.
Radio, whether satellite or terrestial, is heard mostly in vehicles. That is where the growth will come from. It is still a largely untapped mmarket, and has a huge upside potential. |

Sirius stock has nothing to do with Stern, it has to do with the fact that the company isn't making any money and the fundamentals of the company aren't getting any better. For the stock, the Stern effect is dead, a temporary blip. This stock is a dog and isn't going anywhere until he companies financials improve.
The other issue is how god damned diluted the stock is, it has a HUGE float, 1.4 BILLION shares outstanding. That means supply is WAYYYYYY greater than demand, never a good thing. Sirius needs to do a HUGE reverse slit or start buying back stock, the latter of which will NEVER happen as the company is NOT making any money.
I unfortunately do own some Sirius and I also think Sat Rad is going to fade away in the next decade.
Sirius and XM need to merge, both companies cant afford to fight each other much longer - Its killing both of them. |

Thats what we're saying man. This thread is about bringing back the stern effect. Preaching to us isnt getting subscriptions. Stern has all the capability to bring in listners. I think he feels like if he goes out and promotes sirius it would be like begging, and admiting failure. Maybe hes not hungry enough. |

The Stern effect is over, it's not coming back - Nobody expects a new influx of listeners no matter what Howard does. The stock needs the company to get its shit straight. |

| I envision a christmas commercial with stern and beth as mr and mrs siriusclause, and hot chicks as elves(mildly conservative) giving out sirius equipment on national tv. |

I totally agree with you. Howard has to stop "preaching to the choir" since us converts are already with him on Sirius. He needs to get out and publicize... go out and market Sirius to non-subscribers and convert them over. He is just wasting hot air when he complains about this-and-that saying that he is going over to testicular radio. Us Sirius subscribers know that he will not go back. But the problem is that the non-subscribers don't know that and believe whatever the press says. It is time for another publicity push to increase the subscriber base. |
