| Well recently I have been having problems with my regular online player on sirius.com. I sent a message to the tech support and they told me they are making changes to it and to use the premium player. well that costs 2.99 per month. Is that just some bullshit to get more money or what? Has anyone who has the regular player had any problems at all? And is there anyone who pays for the premium player? What are the differences |

| The last few times I tried using the online player it either wouldn't work at all OR it would play for a few minutes & then the audio would drop off & freeze up. |

Dayum. They're using an old Microsoft trick.

| I'm looking into signing up for the online streaming service (not a sirius subscriber) but all these stories about people having trouble are keeping me from doing it. |

| Howardstern.com has a player, Yahoo has a widget, Sirius has the free player. I've never had a problem with either the HS.com player or the sirius player (in 2 mos.). |

I haven't had any problems with either the regular service or the premium service. The different is that the premium service gives you CD-quality sound at 128 kilobits per second vs 32kbps. You also get more channels than the regular service. Everyone I knew who tried it loved it so much that I decided to pay the extra $2.99/month, and WOW!!, what a difference. Definitely worth it. Try it for month and you won't go back. |

Try it for a month and if you don't like it you lose $13 over a 30 day period. It's a 43 cents per day risk worth trying. Most of the 5.1 million listeners are not having any problems. You'll be addicted once you try it. You won't regret it... Now that I think about it, you can try it for free for 3 days, and if it works you know that your computer has the correct software, O/S, CODECs and drivers to have internet radio working properly. Good luck. Let us know if you try it and what you think. |

I downloaded the Microsoft Media Player version 10 and I was able to get back to listening on line. Here's my previous post.....
I did absolutely nothing else. I downloaded it and the first thing I did was log on to my listening account and it worked. I didn't think it would work since I am logging into the palyer on Sirius' site, but it did. The only thing I can tink of in your case are system requirements. FYI - I am computer-retarded so I can't help out if there's anything beyond this..
Here's the link. Scroll down to Windows Medial Player 10 - not sure if Player 11 is any different....

You'll love it! The difference in sound quality is HUGE! I subscribed initially with the intent of trying it for just a month since I was a bit skeptical that it would be worth keeping it. But DAMN, it sounded so awesome I couldn't cancel. It's definitely a keeper. |
