Anyone else have howard tv thru comcast? I have a feeling not many people do. The shows are only updated once a week. Also some shows never play.
santiagosus
I'm stuck in direct tv hell

Yes, Comcast sucks shit. I complained to Howard TV a couple times and now they are updating the shows more regularly. Calling comcast is useless. I cancelled Dish to go back to comcast, but once Verizon TV is available comcast is history.

It must be an issue with your local system, not the company as a whole. I have Comcast here and 99% of the time everything is posted nightly right on time, so I guess I’m fortunate.

I go through comcast & get updates at midnight everyday about 75% of the time. About once a month I'll go a week without any updates then they usually show up. It's a pain in the ass, but I'm hoping HTV & Comcast will get their shit together.

Comcast seems to have all kinds of stupid issues with content. They don't post all of the HTV stuff here in the Bay Area, they post it late, they roll stuff off for space then bring it back a week later.

They don't even broadcast all the local HD channels in HD. Last week they suddenly had a HTV HD folder that had 4 things in it. They called them clips but they were whole shows. Unfortunately all of them had been posted normally a long time ago so what's the point. This is what all early adopters deal with in technology such as this.

I've watched more Nature shows in the last 5 months than I have since 1970 because it's best stuff in HD. I do resent them charging extra for the HTV service and not providing the highest quality they can, but that's the Comcast way. Ain't monopolies great?

I would complain, but dealing with comcast on any level is a nightmare. It always ends up with me talking to different offices each running their own seperate system.

no where is howard shown in phoenix
jigzaw
i have comcast and never got the Eric the Midget cartoon
sonicdescent
the eric cartoon was (stupidly) placed in a daily show that wasn't properly labeled, so that might explain that, but otherwise yes, my comcast sucks. I only get the sunday/monday updates and then 2 or 3 of the daily shows every week. The rest never appears, and it seems that I am missing a few other things if the howard tv website is correct.
wealthyone11
wtf?
fenton_c
i suggest howard getting his own satalite channel that just has episodes on playing back to back. a pay channel like HBO ect. so people like me and others (in the millions) who cant get cable can freakin' watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know people who never really to listening to him on the radio but lovd watching the E shows.

I have comcast and I have the same problems with them. Very late updates. Sometimes it's Friday before I even get a Tuesday show.
tgarland
i have Comcast and will be getting Htv soon..but after all this i dont know if i want to anymore..

My cable tv company (suscom) was just acquired by Comcast, I don't have on demand now, but should get it Spring 2007. i'm hoping they get their act together by then.
lasser777
I have comcast and HTV and I usually get updates only once a week...I always thought thats just when HTV updates their stuff...not a comcast issue..

I can't wait for the Artie & Blue Iris episode on HTV!!!
DamageInc537
I have comcast and it seems to be hit or miss with them... most times they are pretty close to beeing punctual. then once every month and a half or so, i will go a week with out timely updates. I've found if you call and complain long enough and loud enough(not thru the online help chat), they'll comp you the month. I've done it a couple of time in the past. having had HTV since its premier date in Nov '05 i'd give comcast a solid B+ overall
dropdead
fuck em all anyway
Nursegrrl8
I have had problems in the past with comcast but this past week they have been GREAT with the updates! :tu:
Bumper1977
I have Comcast as well. I've been wondering about a few shows. Have the Hodeo and the Chris Kanyon appearance where he smacked around Sal and Richard been posted up on other systems? They've never come up on mine.
newton
Yeah the Hodeo was Comcast in Memphis. I think it still is actually. Not sure about the Chris Kanyon.
Bogart45
Why don't you guys just check http://www.indemand.com/HSOD/ ???

Every show posted there is supposed to be available on your service. It's update daily. If something is on the website but not on your local service then you need to post in the missing episodes thred. Each local provider downloads episodes from the main server, so if there's an episode missing it's your local provider's fault.

Doug said the Chris Kanyon show will be on in a couple weeks.

I wanted to buy howard tv on comcast is it worth or not i got sirius now
Nursegrrl8
worth it

I am furious with my local Comcast. They haven't updated in two weeks. My complaints to them have fallen on deaf ears. They refunded one month of service, but still no updated content.
artie's_poptart
I have Comcast. They used to suck ass, but the past week they've been much better. They've updated more shows and they've changed their format a bit.

I know Howard TV is not available on Direct TV Satelite do to the lack of OnDemand Technology. How about a Howard TV Channel that is pre-programmed, not OnDemand, that would play daily shows, classics, events, etc. on Direct TV. This would be like the old E Channel Show but much better since it would run all day and be uncensored. I know I would be willing to pay for that and I was wondering if this has ever been discussed. -thanks
BaBaBoston
ya same here....the only newest thing on it is brooke hogan and that was last monday so ya fuckin comcast sucks they better step up
