What's going on at SIRIUS these day's? I love SIRIUS radio and would never give it up for any reason but what's up with the $2.99 U.S. charge for the internet radio upgrade? As it is now I have 2 radio's & pay for 2 U.S. packages(grey market). I pay almost $250. CDN per year for the service for both radio's. Now there's a charge all though optional, for CD quality sound via the internet.

Ca'mon SIRIUS. cut us some slack. Atleast give the CD quality sound on the internet free to any subscriber's with 2 or more radio's. Not really a good move to bite the hand's that feed ya.

As far as the programing on now,,, Keep up the good work.
BFG
I also don't know why anyone would pay the same price for only internet radio as regular radio even if they only leave their radio in their car. but oh well....

I can understand an internet only account. If your anyplace other than north america it's the only way you'll ever hear SIRIUS live. I feel this internet only is a very smart busness move. Now the whole world can hear Howard,Bubba,& NASCAR live no matter where you are on the globe. I just feel I and other's pay enough as subscriber's as it is.

This sounds ignorant. That is not an insult, just the way it comes across. You must think that bandwidth is free.

The free internet streaming (37Kb) included with your subscription costs them money for the bandwidth (lots of $$$ per year!) but they are eating that.

They are not a backbone/infrastructure entity so they have to pay $ per amount of data transferred like any other business and they have not charged you for it.
(By the way, they are not charging for the repeaters that they keep adding around the country either.)

Now they are offering 4 times that data transfer and charging a nominal amount, probably just enough to pay for the substantially increased overhead to maintain this new stream, 24/7.

Educate yourself by browsing through web site providers and see what they charge per month for, say, 2000Terabytes per month for example.

It isn't about greed.

$12.99 for Internet Radio ONLY is a FUCKING JOKE. Who the fuck is going to pay that kind of money.

XM charges $7.99 a month and if you have AOL it's free. WTF !!!!!!!!!!!! x 1,000
