Well, it's the 21st of October, and I figured it was time to head on out to the local Radio Shack and pick up my Stiletto 100. Why Radio Shack? Because all of the Best Buy and Circuit City stores around here are out of stock.
When I get there, they have a display model sitting in a home dock, functioning semi-normally (Howard's channels were not tunable, strangely enough...). I fiddle around with it for a while, and decide I like it enough to buy one on the spot on a second Sirius account.
So I ask the geek/clerk, do you have any in stock? He says no, this display model is the only one that Sirius sent them, and he doesn't know when they'll be getting stock. He went on to say, "You probably don't want one of those anyway, they're $1000 with no rebates."
I was floored, and told him that the Stiletto 100 was $350. He said no, come over here and I'll show you. So I followed him over to his computer terminal. Guess what? They had it in there for a grand. I told the kid he'd better speak with his manager about that price, because it's dead wrong.
Now, obviously, my local Radio Shack is insane, and the price in their computer is wrong, but what's with the supply chain for the Stilettos? Anyone else having problems at this date locating one? |

Dude I Live about 45 or so niles fron you and I'm having the same problem.
Oh and when you say the big stores are out of stock don't they mean they never got them yet.because that's what I'm hearin |

I thought the same thing, grege, so I called around and *did* find that a Circuit City in Reading, PA had a whole two of them, just delivered yesterday. I went right over there and picked it up today. 15 minutes after coming home, I had it activated as a second account and streaming via wifi. Much goodness here today.
I'll stick my review of it after about a week or so in the appropriate existing thread. |

order from the CircuitCitys in Delaware and Boston - they have stock (as of yesterday) and they'll ship. |

btw, to see where there is stock, go to CircuitCity's website, to the Stiletto page and change your default zipcode to someplace else. the site will show you the three closest stores to the entered zip and if they have stock. once you find one with stock, call their 800 order number and tell they guy you want the store with stock to ship it to you. I'm in NYC and I bought mine from a CircuitCity in Wash. DC
(btw the screeners for SFRT felt this info wouldn't be important to the listeners.) |

| I just went to Radio Shak today, and the clerk there told me the same thing!! He said his store wouldn't have any in stock until mid-Nov. He said I could buy the floor model for $1000. |

| See the thing is he was probably talking about the Stiletto 100DS. That's the special Stiletto that is not only a Sirius radio, but also a blowjob machine. So you can see where it's really a bargain price. |

| Wow, all of the best buy's around me got over 15 about a week ago. I had no problem walking in and grabbing one. Let me tell you... this thing is sweeeeeeeet. No complaints from me! :D |

| Got a home kit at Circuit City on Sunday. Just keep checking their site for store pickups. I kept checking daily and one showed up and I grabbed and that store hasn't had one since. The home kit is very helpful and I recorded the entire Stern Show with ease while keeping my batteries fully charged. |

| I went to a Radio Shack last Friday to check out the Sirius inventory. They had a new display rack that had a spot for the Stiletto, but no Stiletto was there. I asked them when I could buy one and the rs employee searched for it up on his computer. The Stiletto is not even in their system! He had no idea when they would receive them and he was certain that no other RS's in the area had one. |

You are right about the lousy-run company part. It's amazing they are doing as well as they are and are still gaining listeners as much as they are, considering that company is run by chimps. Just think of how much ass they'd be kicking if they had their shit together. |

I had many issues when I bought my sirius gift cards at radioshack...
strongly advise not purchasing gift cards. It took months to get it resolved. |
