When they mention 6.1 million subscribers, I've wondered if they are talking about current subscribers, or the amount of people who have subscribed (and maybe no longer subscribed)
Hopefully they get a huge bump of subscribers, and the word of mouth takes off globally. |

Projections for end of year is something like 6.3 million if I recall. Current stats from last quarter is 5.1 million currently. I may be off but I think that is what the last tally was. |

6.1 is what sirius hopes to have by years end for current subs. Actually that is their projection but i've heard rumors they are looking for 6.3 mil. that is currently paying subs and maybe a few thousand unsold cars. sirius counts a small amount of unsold chrysler cars as subs because of the deal they have worked out with them. Sirius gets the money when the dealer takes delivery of the car on those cars so they count them as subs. |

Yeah, that's what I figured, and it makes sense.
I think XM was possibly getting in trouble for letting their ex subscribers still have service and claming them as subscribers, even though they weren't paying. |
