Howard boasted that the roast will show up completely uncut tommorow night. However, aside from the shocking inclusion of Brooke Hogan's music performance this week on HTV, I'm betting that at least some of the Gary songs will be gone. It also wouldn't surprise me if they trim out Artie's comments on Sal's kids even though the audience over the internet was a lot bigger and the damage (if any) would already be done.
The whole thing was 105 minutes (110-5 min. break).
Great roast btw. :D
Artie, Sal, Colin, Greg & Jackie were all good. I was surprised there were no jokes on Gary's Love Tape. Actually, I think Gary got the least amount of hits of all the roasts' victims so far. |

SHIT! That pisses me off. I missed the roast on the radio but I thought no problem, I will watch it all on Howard TV. But it seems Howard TV is turning more into the censored E! show every day. No big surprise since most of the people who ran the E! show are now running Howard TV. I DON'T PAY $12.99 A MONTH FOR CENSORSHIP! Now I'm going to have to go download that day's Sirius show from the net just so I can hear it uncensored. |

I'm really surprised comments were cut, and not too pleased. We are PAYING to watch Howard now, I don't get the censorship. :mad:
I would guess the problem is because Artie used the child's actual name. If that's the case all they had to do was bleep out his name without cutting stuff up. |

| Greg's joke about Gary's father was in there, but it's too bad they took out the other stuff. This was as good as the Artie roast. I missed in on radio on purpose because I wanted to hear it for the first time while watching it. They should just completely take out the song performances because those guys look retarted singing acapella and it's strickly fast forward material on HTV. Knowing some jokes were taken out really takes away from this great roast. |

"I thought it was ALL suppose to be uncensored," "howard is as bad as the FCC..." wow! these people are crazy!! ...because one little thing was edited out from the radio to the tv show! (and most people haven't even payed close enough attention to notice what was really cut out!) It was also probably edited out of later radio re-broadcasts? It was something that shouldn't have been put on the air, so they cut it, out of respect for sal's family, most likely...big deal. howard tv is still the best- even if I don't know what sal's kid's names are!
...besides, can't howard edit his own show if he wants to? I think the problem before was that he didn't want anyone telling him what to edit. he wants to be in control... that doesn't mean no editing... ever.

This wasn't edited, it was censored. I don't pay for a censored show, especially considering it's advertised as unscensored. The part about Sals kids was probably the funniest part of the roast, if they wanted to protect them they could have bleeped the names. |

even if they bleeped the names....maybe they still didn't want to embarass his kids, who aren't even 18! ...just because their dad is on howard, doesn't mean they should automatically be subjected to the same torture as him! this is the only thing that was "censored" and it's because it has to do with someones' kids. just because you pay to see the show, doesn't mean you get to decide if someone's underage kids get to be roasted! geez... |

Good point, but only because I agree with you. Sal's also the one who tore into Artie's and Gary's deceased relatives, so a rebuttal by Artie should never have been edited. It's ok to beep the names, but totally cut it from the show? :puzzled: |

whatever... I don't even have kids, and it make sense to me why they did it. they're minors... there was a lot of other funny stuff in the roast, and there is still no other show like it on tv. ...I guess I just don't see the big deal with this one.

Their Dad shouldn't make them ride the sybian for 5.1 million people then he wouldn't have to put up with it. I'm not sure how much longer I'll be keeping my HTV, but I will be keeping my lifetime subscription to Sirius & I will be holding my 450 shares of stock (unless they start censoring on there too).
Don't wish me luck in my perfect TV show search, there's already plenty of them, maybe wish me luck in finding a show that's truely uncensored.

Here's an example of why the TV version sometimes might need to be trimmed:
The Sirius radio show is a live broadcast that Howard can control with a delay or dump button if something comes up that he feels might bring a lawsuit. If a guest went nuts and killed himself in the studio one day live on the air. That would never make it to the TV show. It would make it to the news programs instead.
The omission of Artie's comment on Sal's kids is bad but not as bad as the continued RAPE of the music from the show. Live and recorded music from Fred and song parodies are such a huge part of the Stern history that it's criminal to remove them from the HTV broadcasts. The millions of dollars that are coming in from subscribers can offset the fees unlike E!'s no budget. No excuses now. We're paying for un-fucking-censored-TV. That means FUCKING music.

Why do they always have Colin Quinn anchor these things? Am I the only one that thinks he's really not all that funny? He was easily the worst SNL Weekend Update host of the last 20 years (ok, perhaps even with Kevin Nealon). Plus frankly he trips over his words CONSTANTLY, almost as much as Levy.
Lisa Lampanelli is the only one who consistantly hits the highs like a pro every time out, they should have her anchor (fill in your Lisa Lampanellia fat joke here :D ) |

:bl: Yea, I could almost see where you might say that. And it's funny because the first time he was in the frame, I thought to myself "hey wait a sec... was that Dan Patrick?? What's HE doing there??" and then sure enough they intro'd him a bit later.
But also speaking of famous faces, in one of the seats towards the front to the left of Patrick (if you were looking from sitting on the deius(sp?)), the one guy I saw, I could've sworn he looked just like charactor actor Mark Ruffallo. Especially after they spoke up about Patrick I was waiting to see if they were gonna point out Ruffallo being there. But I dunno, I never got a prime look, maybe it wasn't him. |

I'm here 'cause I'm a fan, and have been one for a long time. I don't listen to the radio...never really got into it. No towns I lived in had his show anyway, and I also partly grew up overseas where really no one knew him. I only saw his shows. I still don't listen to the radio, and wouldn't be more into it even if there weren't commercials... because radio has sucked for so long, I'm pretty used to just listening to CD's in my car, and I don't listen to the radio in my house...it seems silly. If I'm going to listen to howard, I figure I might as well watch him, too....
...anyway, I didn't know that Sal had his kids rid the sybian on the air! is that true?! (maybe that's something I would know if I listened to him on sirius? :rolleyes: ) if that's the case, then yeah... he is fucked up and his kids are fair game... :btu:
