Hi Folks,
Is anyone in the Boston area having weird reception trouble the past day or so?
When I'm in Boston and Cambridge I receive full signal strength via the Sirius terrestrial repeaters (can't see the sat from within the city) however the audio cuts in and out as if I was losing signal.
This is happening when I plug my StarMate Reply into my car as well as in the office using the home kit. I’ve never had a problem before.
I'm trying to figure out if this is a system problem or my radio is on it’s way out. Any advice or insight appreciated!!
Thanks. |

OK, so maybe it's not just me. What I've found is that when I'm receiving signal from the satellite it works fine. When I'm receiving from the terrestrial transmitters I have the problem (even though the signal indicator is at full strength!!!). So frustrating!
I guess I’ll hold off on buying a new radio for now. Perhaps I’ll give the Sirius help desk a call. |

| Hmm... Are you near or in the city? I've found that when I head far enough away from Boston it works again. |
