the mic levels were screwy. our headphopnes were screwy. the music volume was screwy
they usually have my mic turned way down so you don't get the overmodulated crap but they got a real late start last night. it was minutes to show and they were still trying to get hte mics & headphones working. I couldn't hear the booth or Lori. it was a little crazy |

Mutt has the most energy on their air. Sirius was having problems with their terrestrial repeaters uptown this week, and I was still able to hear Mutt on SFRT last night (only 20 blocks away): don't change a thing!

I have to agree and throw my 2cents in on this ....I think the earlier shows had a rythmn of Mutt being the calming voice to moderator and control the conversations and move the show along...when everyone yells and talks over each other it is impossible to understand what you all are saying.....the past few shows....EVERYONE is excited and yelling ...even Mutt ....and he becomes a little chaotic...thats all......I don't think it's a volume issue....it's like having 3 Elliot Offens on apanel all yelling at the same time.....just my opinion from a loyal..super female fan of the show for 20yrs.....and I would love to be on the SFR.......btw Mutt....on the list for stars of the Bitter half..you asked if any names were left out.....yes...Artie and Danas bit...the song "somewhere out there" and you forgot Ben and Ray Stern... |

Hey guys not that I have to justify how much of a fan I am but, I am a Chicago Stern fan - any of you who have been listening for a while knows that Chicago fans had to endure at least three station changes and tons of management bullshit when Howard was on terrestrial.
I am a big fan of Mutt and I figured that any constructive input would be welcomed. Instead of saying how I should be banned lets get Sirius to set up the SFRT so that it is the best that it can be. |

Where am I comparing Mutt to EEO??? I think everyone would agree that listening to ANY RADIO personality who YELLS and uses that technique to make a point becomes impossible to listen to ......this is a discussion about the SFRT and how the panel was Yelling and talking over each other....and the comment was that Mutt is becoming excitable and yelling as well......I illustrated my point by using EEO as an example....could you listen to his INSANE YELLING AND RANTS ..no..just like me typing in CAPITALS...using that as a technique to say I am RAISING MY VOICE???? That's why Cabbie is not good on radio...because he starts out calm..then increases his volume ...then starts YELLING AT EVERYONE.....that is my point......I can't listen to Ferrel either....30 minutes of his INTENSE speaking patter and my blood pressure spikes.....maybe thats it...it's a high blood pressure thing. I am not disrespecting Mutt and his show...he is an AMAZING host and Howard recognizes this.....just sayin the past few weeks have been super HYPER...Super LOUD with everyone talking over each other........ |

why should he fuck himself? hes just trying to make the show better. although i dont think mutt should change how he talks or his volume or excitement. its awesome and sets the tone for the show. it up to the engineer to set the proper levels and adjust if needed. iim sure it was a one time error. |

That's my biggest issue with this board. Someone offers a non-inflammatory piece of constructive criticism and everyone jumps on with "fuck off" and "ban him". Kudos to Mutt for actually seeing that mac725 wasn't being a dick and writing a good response to his comment.
It'd be nice to see more intelligent critical conversation on this board rather than the air of groupthink that persists. 2 cents over. |

my biggest problem is that some people have absolutely no sense of humor, and use self-righteous indignation as their initial response to anyone who's opinion differs from theirs, or who's reaction is less serious than theirs. |
