| Has anyone ever had a problem with thier antenna when it's below 40 Degrees? Every single time it goes below 40 here my antenna picks up nothing. It's mounted outside the car. I get a constant searching message. I have another antenna that is exactly the same model, and when I plug that in everything is perfect. mY question is, do I just have a bad antenna? If I go and install the other one, it might stop working after 40 below as well. Obviously when I put it in to test it's been sitting in my house and is still at room temp. |

my brother got his system last dec and obviouly it went through an entire winter. I don't think he had any trouble at all. those things are made to go through weather.
you may have something wrong with that antenna |

| I think it's a bad antenna. If you have any other SIRIUS Antennas try swapping them out and see if it makes a difference. |

Nothing happened to it rain snow ice and i didn't even bolt it down, just stuck it out there and it didn't even move the whole year. |

| Mine was buried under a couple feet of snow all winter...never had a problem. Until I pinched the antenna's cord and cut it when I slammed the patio door. But that's another story. You may have a dud on your hands if you're losing the signal during cold weather....time to switch out. |

With SIRIUS you either get a signal or you don't. If you are getting Static when it's colder that has nothing to do with the SIRIUS Antenna and more to do with the fact that you are rebroadcasting the signal over the airwaves.
And if that's the case I do believe that it's easier to broadcast when it's warmer.
Check the Antenna Aiming on your menu. If you have more than 50% then you know it's because you are using the FM Transmitter which is a VERY basic install option.
If the SIRIUS Antenna really is not picking up when it's cold, then that's the first I've heard of it. But who knows, maybe.
This may help to explain the difference in the Wireless FM Transmitter and other methods of hooking your SIRIUS Radio up.

| I'll just be getting a new antenna. I tried another and it works just fine. Bad unit it seems. |

| Based on a lot of recent complaints from all over the nation regarding signal problems, IMHO Sirius is tinkering with their repeaters to keep the FCC off their back. |
