Most people are saying because they are minors.
But thats bull shit because they also edited out a joke about Sals dad, and Sals aunt.
Maybe Sal pulled a bitch move and cried to Doug Goodstein?
Pretty dissapointed. Wether the jokes were funny or not is up for debate, but I definatly wanted to see Sals and even Howards reactions.
Edit - If Artie asked for his set to be edited (because he felt bad about it later), then I guess thats his decision, and we have to live with it. :( Maybe they will mention it sometime this week on the show. |

If Sal cried about it he is a bigger douche than I thought, especially after the comments he made about Beth. Howard looked like he wanted to kill Sal. I hope it is addressed next week. Why couldn't they have just bleeped out his kids real names and left the rest of the joke intact? |

Yea Im starting to think that is what happened, thats why I edited my above post.
I do think HTV subscribers deserve to know though, was it Arties or someone elses decision to edit it? |

agreed, but a simple punch-in of silence or a beep when a name was said could have fixed this. just sucks cause it was one of the few truly edgy moments of the roast. that and when sal made horse sounds to translate his joke for beth. ;) |

That's right, I just wrote that on another thread. All they had to do was bleep out the kids name......which leads me to believe that someone (Sal?) wanted that "fag kid" stuff cut. |

| I don't get the freaking out over a couple minutes of a 100 minute broadcast being taken out because there was an issue. We have no idea what conversations might have taken place after the show with Sal, Sal's wife, and/or Artie having reservations about it. There's a different standard for liability on a television broadcast where there is opportunity for editing than there is with a live radio broadcast. 99% of the roast is there, and it's great watching the interplay between everyone, but instead of talking about that everyone is fixated on bitching about this edit, but whatever makes you happy. |

Ok, I accept that Sals kids are minors and there is liabilty issues involved.
But they also edited out the joke about Sals dad (the second one), about Sals aunt, and about Sals wife dealing with his uncircumcised dick.
The only thing I can think of is that Artie felt bad later, and asked them to edit it.
PS - The roast was still great, and Im not cancelling HTV. Just sorta disappointed. |

If Artie had a problem with what he said they would have edited it out on Sirius too. I heard the roast today on the radio and everything was left in.
Sal said himself that he got what he deserved. I mean, shit, why pay for Sirius when you can get the censored show on TV and pay more! |

I didn't get a chance to listen to the Gary roast, and I haven't seen it yet on Howard TV. That sucks that they edited stuff out.

Doug never answered about past censored shows except some BS on Fuck Machine Girls being done too quickly but some On Demand guy vaguely did. They don't really say what or why they censor shows or how come they advertise uncensored when it's not. |
