We didn't get leave after Basic...I went straight to Aberdeen proving Grounds...this was Feb 68 and they needed meat for the grinder, so many things were shortened... |

Oh, that's just so west coast....You might not know this, but the DI's were still allowed to physically adjust our attitude...it stopped a few years later...and the only real problem I had, being one of the biggest guys there and from NYC, was I was always the example that the DI"s could always kick our asses... |
