Today Howard was talking about how they have never yet been given any rules, or told to back down.

I have a feeling Howard doesn't want to be the "Second most shocking" show on his channel, and that is part of the reason that Bubba has certain rules.
Definitely seems to be a double standard at play, and today it seemed like Howard was rubbing it in a bit on air... In my opinion anyways.
If Bubba's crew can't do Jew stuff because they arent Jews, but Howard can do absolutely anything regardless of any racial or stereotypical concerns, then I think that is Bullshit.
It is also possibly reverse discrimination.
But they are Howard's channels, and, "at the end of the day" - He is the Boss and the guy in control.
Ned's vehiment "fuck the jews" speal, with protection as it being a Mel Gibson bit, gave me a certain feeling when I heard it.
That feeling was that it was some way of venting frustration at "Corporate", Howard, Tim, and Mel - as they are the "jews". Not for being Jewish, but for being the bosses and controlling and censoring the Florida boys.
I think that the head honcho's in New York (many of which happen to be Jewish), view Bubba and crew as second rate rednecks and may think that their "racial" bits are not as innocent as as what Stern does.
I actually think that as a whole, Bubba's crew is far less "racial" than the Stern crew.
Having listened to both shows, daily, since they are on Sirius, I beleive the Bubba crew are more open minded and accepting of people and situations than the Stern crew, which I think definitely has shown some true ignrance and stereotypical beleifs, but unfairly sheltered under the protection of long having Jewish people, and a black woman on board.
Sorry to be so long winded, but I really think I summed up the whole truth. |

I take back my thoughts that Howard might be the root cause for the double standard. A reliable source told me that Howard has told them to "crank it up" in the past.
Possibly Howards position and power keeps some heat off of them, and possibly he vito's some corporate pressure when they do get it.
Nice to hear that Bubba had a good meeting wtih Tim the Taliban, and will be able to again do some of the things they have become known for.
I don't think the shows have suffered without the extreme antics, but Bubba Raw has been pretty tame. But I don't think that getting cool footage for Bubba Raw should be a priority over having a good radio show, which sometimes seemed to be the case at times. |

I think it was the whole Shock the puss/Balls thing, notice how they haven't done that in a long time? I think they got reined in when they were shocking Ferral's asshole and a lot of other stuff.
