I would also like to add that Tucker really pissed me off with his "volunteer" comment today, the majority of people who serve in the US armed forces serve out of a desire to "preserve and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic", in other words, we volunteer to defend our nation, not to go fight wars to line other peoples pockets.
There are people serving in Iraq, AS WE SPEAK, who have served their agreed upon time and are now being held on active duty to fight in this war, and none of them signed up expecting to have to go through that.
I really get angry when someone acts like the people in the armed services joined to go fight whoever the fuck, whenever the fuck, so we basically deserve whatever we get.

I know, and I wasn't marking out to myself, it's the whole deal I hear from political types, mostly those who support the war, who make it sound like since those serving in the military volunteered to defend our country, (most now either in peacetime or in the rush of patriotism following 9/11), that somehow their lives mean less than if someone has to be forced to. |

That angle has already been thought of :D And I wasn't speaking personally, I just taught a class from a different branch of service that had a guy in it, who was married with kids, who's time was up, but since the service he is in is shorthanded, they just extended his enlistment and sent him back.
This is a guy who joined at 18, for the right reasons, served his time honorably, and no longer wanted to do the job, how is it any less of a crime to send him than it would be to draft somebody :dontknow: |

what those stupid idiots seem to imply is that politicians don't have to be held responsible for thier judgements.
like starting a war for a fucking stupid reason is ok and it doesn;t matter if LOTS of people on all sides are killed or worse but anyone complaining about that choice is a BAD person and unamerican.

Kids are on a demolition streak lately, plus they've all decided they no longer have to listen to mom. So far this week I've had to patch two holes in the wall, one broken window, and one kicked in door. We weren't going ToT anyway, on account of the nutsos around here. We were gonna have a family halloween party, but that was canceled today after one told mommy it was her job to clean up after him and the other called her a stupid bitch. I hate to do that to them, but these kids are getting progressively worse, things I won't even discuss here. Everytime we let them have fun, they think it's a pass to shit all over everything. Not anymore. |

Then you wake up another day and find them burning plastic with a lighter, after having burned their house down two years ago, and you think "I don't know what the fuck to do!!"
