That is a bit of a long story... I adopted him when he was 18 months from someone who had to give him up because she had just had back surgery.
Ended up marrying her.
We got big female Great Dane the same color, had a few litters of puppies, wife kept a male puppy from the second last litter, I ended the relationship in Febuary, she moved out in June just after the last litter of puppies and took Sarge (the male) and Damage (the pup she kept), while I kept Shadow (the female).
I've got to see Sarge a few times since, I really only want one dog in my house and Shadow would be miserable without me.
Sarge is going to be 9 years old this January, average life span is 5-7 years for Great Danes. He won't live forever and I'd rather be told he died, than to find him dead and have to tell my ex-wife. Also, he would give the ex wife an excuse to want to come over and see him and things...
It sucks, but is probably the best scenario |

The real problem is I live in a condo across from the University..... You would think because im literally across the street from campus that there would be mostly college kids livin here.....

im not into fuckin with little kids... I went through three bags, had to be about 50-60 little kids.....but at 8:30 a 14 or 15 year old punk came to the house when the lights were off and door was shut, with a 10ft garbage bag demanding candy..... he had it comin... :D |

| that's a big ass snake, brother. a friend of mine had a 12' Burmese python. when he bought it, it was one foot long. his nephew wanted my buddy to bring it to show and tell for his class of 3rd graders, and he thought they would enjoy it if he fed it a live mouse for them to watch. needless to say, it didn't go over well. turns out you have to have an exotic animal permt, and the parents raised hell, turned into a nightmare for him. snake was still only a foot long at the time as well |

I work for the Our City of Reading/HUD/CIDC program "revitalizing" this city... the problem with this city is the lack of police... the continuance of handing out welfare like everyday is Halloween... and tolerance... that's right... Tolerance...
To many people see a crime happen and tolerate it by not calling the police... the police tolerate the crimes by not responding or handing out "warnings" to avoid an avalanche of paper work... city council tolerates the crime for the votes of "minorities"... the mayor tolerates city council because he has no answers and no power to change anything...
State legislature tolerates gangs by not passing tough laws to prevent them from terrorizing our neighborhoods... the Governor visits our city and promises change through initiatives, understanding, and tolerance...
The President asked us to be vigilant and tolerate our loss of personal freedom while 9 million terrorist cross our boarders to send money home while tearing away at our quality of life...
I've tolerated all I am going to tolerate... I am done waiting for change... I will personally stand up to what the police refuse to... and most likely will wind up behind bars because I can no longer tolerate the lack of foresight of our "leaders"...

I had a zoo permit for 5 years here in Saskatchewan. Scales originally stood for "Serpent Conseratory and Lizard Emporium of Saskatchewan".
Let the permit go, too much bullshit, and keeping a commercial building heated and powered just for the snakes that required a permit was costing 15,000 / year to maintain.
Did the "Scales Zoo travelling reptile shows" across Canada, to help pay for all the costs.
That snake pictured there was the second largest snake I kept. She was 19.5' long and 190 lbs.
Had a male named "boots" (because he was very close to becoming many pairs of boots, too many times). He was very mean and dangerous, had gone through quite a few zoo's that couldn't handle him. I ended up giving him to another zoo, the 5th time he almost killed me. He was 22' long and 240 lbs, at the time in the top 5 largest snakes kept in North America.
I still keep a lot of reptiles in my house, mostly for breeding, some as "pets" but a lot fewer than in past years. |
